"awful bathroom"

shower with terrible faucet (in plastic). Toilet with very little sink, no place for daily toilet. We had to pay in advance at arrival, which is very uncommon. For paying with Mastercard, there was a fee of 4% -also quite uncommon.

"My viewpoints"

I lived on the topfloor and was little bit scared if there will be a fire. With soft carpets on the floor and stairs I think a fire would be very dangerous when there was no extra exit to reach. I looked out of the window to see if there was possibility to escape that way if necessary, but I don´t think I would survive if I escaped that way. No ladders or rope what I could see.The room was very small and the bed was just under the curtain, so that disturbed me. Other I had t sleep in the light from the window or on a small part of the bed on the right side of the curtain. It was very tough to walk the hole way up to my room. I had to go 72 steps to the topfloor and I was a little bit tired when I came to my room. And in the morning I had to go further 20 steps to the basemant and to get the breakfast. That was very tough to get back to may room. The location of the hotel was very good bur the standard wasn´t so good. I don´t know the other rooms but my room I don´t want to recommend a friend.

"Friendly reception staff"

Pros: Friendly reception staff. very convenient location close to paddington station.
Cons: Lack of internet connection incomprehensible, given price of room. wc needed manual fiddling in the reservoir mechanism between every flush. english breakfast sounded better on paper - indifferently prepared, and the coffee was frankly nothing short of terrible.

Pros: The breakfast was very nice.
Cons: As we were travelling as a family we booked a family room, 2 adults and 2 teenagers. the room we received was a small triple with a trundle bed squeezed in. the only way to get around the room was to walk on the beds as there was literally no floor space. the rooms where clean but quite dingy and tired looking.

Pros: Room had doors leading onto small patio, was handy to sit in and was some where were you could smoke, was idealy situated near tube station and hyde park.room was basic but coumfortable.
Cons: Did't think much to the brekfast, cold beans and had to wait for the cook to turn up.

"The staff were welcoming and pleasant"

Pros: The staff were welcoming and pleasant.
Cons: The room was distugsting. while it had been cleaned it was dirty. the material on the bed head was so dirty it had changed colour and had dust all along the top. the shower head was filthy, it was brown and dirty and held together with electrical tape. the paint on the roof above the shower was flaking off and fell on my head during a shower. the toilet bowl was stained brown and there was no toilet paper. also, the central heating didn't work and they gave us a blow heater. overall, it was the worst place we have ever stayed and it was the last 4 nights of our honeymoon.

Cons: Our room was just next to the reception, and therefore quite noisy :( that means, we heard everything that was said or done in the lobby/reception (the door bell or other guests coming in or leaving the hotel...)

car parking in front of the hotel was very convenient
Cons: The rooms were very small; the room level-1 was a real sauna (more than 30°c); the room under the roof was more like a cupboard and was next to the pump of the heating system of the hotel- result a lot of noice.

Cons: Rooms were very small, no soap in the bathroom; the 'lavabo' was too small and the water taps were not well fixed. room level -1 was a real sauna (about 30°), and single room under the roof was too small (cupboard)- moreover next to this room was the water container for the heating system of the hotel and its noice was very disturbing.

Pros: I had a good experience at this hotel. the rooms were fabulous and the dining room was also good. just one snag i was on the top floor and there was no lift, but had a great time anyway.

I had a good experience at this hotel
