 "Visit to London"
Friendly service, clean room , comfortable bed, excellent breakfast cooked in a clean kitchen. I would use again for value for money accomodation in an excellent position for trains, underground and sight seeing. 24hr reception made me feel safe as I stayed a second night alone. only citisism was the size of the bathroom and the presure of the shower but always had hot water.

"Room No.30: Was squalid. Within minutes I got a nasty attack of Hayfever, shifted to No.35"
Service is poor. However, the location is good because of it's close proximity to Kingscross. No refund will be available if one decides to cut short the occupancy even due to illness. My decision to cut shot the occupancy due to illness was notified three days after checking-in, but it was disallowed as a refund as was not possible. Finally I was compelled to check-out one day early without receiving a refund (£60.00) and still feeling sick.

 "Great location, great English breakfast!"
The bedroom and adjoining bathroom were clean and bright, recently renovated. At check-in we were told that the bed was only queen-sized and offered a larger room at considerably higher cost, which we refused ... Indeed, you could barely walk around the bed and sleeping was very tight, but we managed somehow! Otherwise great value for money, great location across the road from King's Cross/St. Pancras and a full, traditional English breakfast included in the price.

"Don't stay here unless you only go to your room for sleep."
It's a clean, cheap hotel. Probably the two positive things to say about this hotel. The beds were okay too. We were on the top floor and there weren't any lifts so that was a minus. Also the rooms are very small and the 'breakfast' is terrible, we ate out every day (except for the first of course). I'm def. not going back.

 "Not what i expected"
My stay in the Belgrove hotel was not what i expected. I knew i could not expect a luxury hotel, but this was not a nice suprise! Breakfast was really fat and there was no opportunity for a non- english breakfast. Because we had a vegetarian we ate outside the hotel. The room we slept in was noisy and small, moreover there were stains on the bed. I would not recommend this hotel, not een when your staying for just 2 days

"I recommend this for a city holiday."
Belgrove's location is so central it can be forgiven much. The noise from and around the the King's Cross St Pancras is considerable, so earplugs are a must if you want to sleep. The sounds from the other rooms, such as talking or opening and closing doors may snap you awake, it takes a bit getting used to. The water pressure is very low, so if you have long hair and considered washing it, this is not the place for it. However, my room had everything I needed in it, a toilet, shower, sink and a bed, even a little closet, and a tv, so I was happy with it. (I think I got one of the best rooms.) The staff was polite. The breakfast was heavy, but good and keeps you up and running for hours. Everything was clean enough. I was very happy they were able to keep my luggage for the few hours between checking out and my flight leaving, so I didn't have to worry about that either. I definitely recommend this hotel, good value for your money.

 ":) nice!"
nice hotel, very clean. The room wasn't that big but everything we needed was there. Friendly staff. near to kingscross metro station and a train station. There are a few bars nearby but kings cross itself isn't that exciting. Just a pratical location and Belgrove Hotel a great place to stay.

"Clean, looking after room at a fair price"
I've stayed in a number of these B&B/Hotels in Kings Cross. Largest single room I've had (but still small), Room was very clean and shower new.It seems every hotel in Kings Cross has something missing and this one had no wardrobe. Wi-fi flaky but it did work if you don't mind it dropping out from time to time.Breakfast was OK but not great. On balance one of the better hotels in this range in Kings Cross. Don't expect the world though - prices of hotels with the Olympics coming up are through the roof. This is fair price, clean and value for money

 "adequate rooms with convenient location"
As its right across the street from Kings Cross station, the Belgrove hotel does provide a convenient place to stay when travelling. The room was clean, provided a TV and kettle with some teas. The bathroom was small (but a private/non-shared one at least). We did have some issues with the toilet/shower, there wasn't any hot water in the nighttime and the toilet didn't seem to fill well after it was flushed, so bathroom breaks had to be carefully syncronized with others! If you are looking for a cheap(ish) night stay somewhere clean this place is fine. And no there wasn't a lift to our 4th floor room so be prepared to carry your luggage.Breakfast was okay. Not much for vegetarians though.

 "Convenient but unpleasant"
The location of this hotel is good being close to the Eurostar but apart from this it has nothing to recommend it. The staff were awful and the room very basic..

 "Clean and Centrally Located"
The hotel is really good value for the location - directly opposite Kings Cross and St Pancras stations. The rooms aren't anything special and are very small but this is why the price is so good, but everything is clean and simple. The breakfast also isn't bad at all! A buffet of bacon, beans, sausages etc. Altogether everything you need at a great price!

"Friendly staff, excellent location, free wireless internet! you can enter..."
Pros: Friendly staff, excellent location, free wireless internet! you can enter and leave whenever you want with your key all night! 10 meters away from the tube staircase. within a 20 meter distance you have banks, restaurants, supermarkets, internet cafe. i am the sort of person who has no interest in how the room appears but the rooms were clean!
this is the sort of hotel where you only spend time to rest and sleep there! if your there for an event or business trip then i would highly recommend this place. its not a place for honeymooners at all, families, or old couples unless your cheap!

"Location! this hotel is within about 20 minutes walk to soho"
Pros: Location! this hotel is within about 20 minutes walk to soho. i had originally looked at hotels closer, but costing 500 euro more per night. i'm glad i stayed here and saved some money which was later used for shopping, eating and going out at night. it is also 1 minute to the kings cross tube station.

originally i was nervous about staying here as i was told the location is bad and could be dangerous. this is not true. years and years ago this was a bad area of town, but since the international train station opened (across the street) the place has been cleaned up. i walked safely there during the day and during the late morning hours (2am-5am) and never had any problems. again, the walk to soho takes 15-20 minutes and the entire journey was safe. you can not beat this place for price and location.

the staff is also quite friendly. i was able to talk to two or tree staff members and they were quite nice and helpful. even the lady who brings fresh towels every day was nice and friendly! there is even breakfast in the morning. i was never able to attend, but is a nice addition to what is already a good deal. i was even able to check out a few hours late for only a little extra. very flexible staff and they were a pleasure to work with. would definitely plan to stay here again on my next visit.
Cons: No.
the only things i will mention which some may find an issue are:
-no elevator (no big deal, only a few flights of stairs, but still may be an problem for some.
-no telephone in the rooms. again, not a big deal as i'm not sure i've ever used a hotel phone before -- however on this trip i did need to use one as my phone was stolen a day prior in the city and needed to call home. for the rare situation you may need to use a phone this might be a negative.
-this is a basic "here is where you sleep hotel". this is not 4 star or 5 star but basically a bed, bathroom and shower. if you are looking for a resort or a place to hang out for hours, this is not it. if you want a nice place in a great safe part of town close to soho, the tube and somewhere to sleep, this place is perfect.

again, except for the lack of phone, none of these items affected my stay.

 "The free breakfast was nice"
Pros: The free breakfast was nice
Cons: The internet at the belgrove is poor at best. cuts out constantly and has a weak signal. the front door is supposed to be staffed 24/7 but twice in the evening we had to wait to get in the main entrance until someone else was leaving. (door locks automatically and needs to be opened form the inside or electronically from the front desk to let you in)
