Bastion Deluxe Hotel Amsterdam Centrum Noord    

Hotel was really great, room was clean and tidy with everything which we need. It is 5 minutes far from city centre by bus and bus is coming every 10 minutes. Stuff in hotel was really nice and everything went really smooth.

Good stay, just 10 minutes from Centraal station. Buses to and fro from this place and Central station is quite frequent. Good pricing, and comfortable stay for young couples / bachelors. The front desk was very welcoming, and were very patient to answer all our questions.

There is a mistake on the website, smoking rooms are only available if you upgrade to deluxe, not the other way round as the website. I think air conditioning is also mentioned but consists of a desk fan at least in the standard rooms, lucky it is not often hot in Amsterdam.On my first walk from the Hotel found a flyer on how the hotel chain was exploiting its cleaners (hence the title) check out your own morals on this issue- good start! The second notice was no smoking weed at the hotel, cigarettes are OK!Apart from this the hotel was clean and staff OK but with the usually Dutch manners. Did not eat at the hotel, as the market/town was a short walk away. On my check in I was told to pay the City Tax which OK and was offered Euros on my card which I obviously refused due to the rate! Was told the town was 20 minutes it’s actual about 10 minutes away and has everything you need including an ATM, apart from a Coffeeshop.Getting into town was absolutely fine using the bus but I did have a travel card. I did try and use the night bus (after 12:30 at night) back one evening and nearly got mugged at Central Station, lucky a taxi was close by and at €15 was a life saver literally.The bar was very busy one evening but in my room was not bothered by the noise. On the whole because of the free car park, may consider again if the Galaxy is fully booked, however will budget a taxi far home if after midnight which make both hotels similar cost!

This hotel is out of the city on the north side of the river and may be a little difficult to find. However, its rooms are comfortable, the staff are helpful eg they found us a secure space to lock our tandem, and the restaurant was very convenient. We did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that.

Pros: A very clean and friendly hotel and will definitely think of staying here again when in amsterdam

Pros: The room was ok. the floor in the shower room was warm what was good. the hotel is close to the center and only a min. away from the bus stop.
Cons: I payed 90 euro for a twin room what i think is too much for this hotel.

Pros: Suprisingly good hotel for a fair price. close to city center, while not in the middle of hustle and bustle. friendly receptionist bill syed helped us a lot.

Cons: Safe in room was broken, only 1 towel for a twin room, breakfast is only severed til 9am
