Mindre bra: En av de sämsta hotelfrukostar jag någonsin upplevt. bläh!

Fördelar: Ok frukost för att vara england. lugnt område och ändå närhet till tunnelbana, bussar mm. gångavstånd till många av attraktionerna.
Mindre bra: Lyhört,vi hörde rösterna från andra rum. det dunsade från våningen ovanför så att takljuset blinkade. gemensamma wc:et gränsade till huvudänden på dubbelsängen så nattetid vaknade vi ibland av att wc-dörren var trög att stänga.

Fördelar: Det låg nära victoria station som man kan ta sig vart som helst i london på ett bra sett.
Mindre bra: Skitigt ,ingen toalett/dusch ,fick använda en gemensam toa/dusch som var väldigt skitig .

Our stay at the Grapevine Hotel had a lot of pluses and minuses. The first problem we had was the Wifi, we were promised a free Wifi but it didn't work the entire time we were there. We told the staff about it, in fact we mentioned it to them every time we saw one of them and nothing was ever done about it. They always said they'd fix it but it never worked and this was a big problem, not to mention incredibly frustrating, because Wifi was one of the biggest reasons we chose this hotel. We would have expected some kind of reimbursement at least for not being able to use it but they never said anything about it. Which is very disappointing and a big minus to an otherwise okay visit. The room was okay, pretty much what we expected. However, the cleaning wasn't that great, when we came in the teapot hadn't been washed, the water even hadn't been changed and the glasses and spoons were dusty. The room was supposedly cleaned every day, but basically the cleaner just made the bed and sometimes changed the towel, she didn't vacuum, didn't change the teacups (which would have been very little trouble and expected in my opinion), didn't even wash or at least wipe the wash basin and the toilet. These are stables of cleanliness and I would have expected them done. Also, the room was said to have a hair dryer and it wasn't there either until we asked for it. I understand not every hotel has a wifi or a hairdryer, but these were mentioned when we made the booking and I expected them. Like I said earlier, it's pretty frustrating to spend your vacation worrying about small things like that. We had a very specific need for a working, fast internet and it was a big minus that it wasn't working.On the plus side, the staff was otherwise nice and polite, the breakfast was as promised and the location of the hotel good. I'd advise future clients, if going to Victoria, to go through Cambridge Street - Hugh Street - Elizabeth Street to Buckinham Road, we first took the Wilton Road which is much longer. There are also Barclay's bikes just around the corned of Hugh Street, you can rent them for a good price and drive around London. For the last few nights the neighbours were pretty loud, but obviously this isn't the staff's fault. Otherwise the hotel was peaceful.

Best:: Location, Price and cleanlinnes.Regular: scant Breakfast and small room.Worse: nothing.I hope to stay there when I plan another trip to London.

The rooms are very small, but have everything in there you could ask for. (TV with DVD player, closet, sealing fan) and also the bathroom is small, but new and with a nice shower (only down part, there's no shower curtain, so the floor get's pretty wet). The beds are good and we both had a good night sleep on them. Also the rooms were clean, you get clean towels every day, the bed's are made everyday, but the bedding isn't changed.The hotel has 3 floors and no elevator, so that is something to keep in mind. You have to carry your luggage up and down the stairs.The breakfast is simple but good. (What they serve is on their website and that's exactly what there is.)The service is really nice, it's a family business (they have to other hotels in the street as well) and everybody was really friendly. When you check out, you can leave your luggage at the hotel, so you can do whatever on your last day, without having to carry it around.It's about a 10 minute walk to the Victoria Station, and about an 7/8 pound taxi drive. When you walk to the Victoria Station, you pass tons of restaurants and pubs, and small shops. Also the streets are lovely and characteristic. Right across the Victoria Station are two theatres (so really close to the hotel), where Billy Elliot and Wicked are currently playing. Overall everything you can expect for this price. It's simple but perfect for a city trip for example. We would definitely book here again.

I was staying in a double en-suite room with my boyfriend. The room was small, but cosy and clean. The shower wasn't too great, but okay. The staff were very friendly and helfpul. Location is very good!

I stayed one night only, but slept very well.Being an elderly gentleman I would have liked a bathroom reachable from within my room as I must up during the night.Breakfast could improveKind regardsTorben Rügge

I had a single room for 10 days whilst on a bussiness trip. The breakfast was nice (although the orange juice was not very tasty). The room was small and I don't know if any one taller than me would have been ok in the bed.However everything was perfect for what I needed. The staff were helpful and very firendly.

we had to change room twice. because in the first room water came down from the ceiling, then we had a nice room for one night and had to change again for the last two days. unfortunately there werent any wardrobe or locker and we didnt know were to but our clothes.

I booked and paid in advance for 2 single ensuite rooms 6 weeks before date I was due to arrive and this was confirmed via easytobook.com. On arrival at the Grapevine it looked like a building site with no-one on reception and a sign saying to call next door, A very nice young man advised us there had been flooding and we would not be able to stay in Grapevine but in 2 separate hotels if we wanted single rooms. As we didn't want this we agreed to stay for 1st night in twin room in another hotel in next street. Room was like a garret on 4th floor and beds were very narrow with only 6 inches between them and room was only about 6ft wide. Shower stall and curtain were mildewed and room and bedding were very shabby and soiled looking. on 2nd and 3rd nights we still could not be accommodated in single rooms and were offered room in another street with 4 beds squeezed in although room was pleasant and clean. However bathroom was down short flight of stairs outside room and although it was for our sole use there was another occupied room next door to us so we had to dress before leaving bathroom. Not ideal! I have e-mailed Grapevine asking for refund of £54.00, difference between 2 singles and twin rooms, but have as yet not received a reply . Although staff friendly and polite Grapevine was a mess and I would not recommend anyone to stay there until renovation and repairs complete,
