Seref Hotel Istanbul  

No buffet breakfast as stated, at t your site, but a small plate with an egg, 1 slim piece of cheese and 2 slim pieces of salami. Coffee udrinkable .No air-condition, no air fan

The hotel's location is excellent, very close not only to Istiklal Street (on and just off which one can find a bewildering variety of places to shop, eat, drink and go out to, pretty much 24 hours a day), but also to the Nevizade restaurants and bars area off Istiklal. It is also very handy for the airport shuttle bus (Havatas) drop-off and pick-up point just north of Taksim Square (less than 10 minutes on foot), and for the trams (take the "Metro" from either end of Istiklal). It looks onto a very busy road, so you will need ear plugs to sleep unless you are very tired (chances are you will be). The room was very small and sparsely furnished, but clean. The bathroom featured no separate shower area or curtain, but to my great surprise showering did not result in an almighty mess, as the bathroom floor is slightly inclined and the water very quickly drains away, not a drop reaching the room itself. Towels are changed daily, but you only get one per person. The rickety TV set only receives Turkish channels. There is heating, but no air conditioning, so I wouldn't try staying there in July or August. Breakfast (8 to 12) is the same every day and the quantity will have you looking for more food within an hour, but the eggs are freshly cooked and tea is plentiful. All in all, very good value for money if you're not fussy and need a clean and friendly place to rest after a busy day or eventful night.

Seref hotel staff are very helpful and nice, hotel location perfect, the breakfast the same always but delecious breakfast, also a good value of money, but what I didn't like is no minibar, bathub or good designed shower, but really I recomend to everyone staying at Seref hotel.

Pros: Hotel was clean and the guy from the reception was really nice and helpfull. for that price, and if you are not planning to use the hotel ecept for overnight and shower (you will be out exploring the city) i would say it would be an ok choise. do not count on breakfast too much (in my opinion it was quite poor) and if you do like some quite time ask for the room on the opposite side of the main bulevar (this street is extremly heavy in traffic all the time). location is good, 5-7 min walk from taksim square.

Pros: For 26€ per night this was top notch. moreover, the room and the bathroom were clean, not shabby.... staff was polite and friendly. the bed was comfortable and allthough the traffic was noisy outside, it didn't bother me at ight. the breakfast was poor but okay, one should not expect too much for 26€. and the main shopping street was 100 m away, the same goes to the restaurants, they were really close too.
i'll definitely go there next time i visit istanbul.
Cons: No, for that price i wouldn't dream of saying anything bad. i was happy with my stay!

Pros: Definitely great value for the price. quite close to downtown.
Cons: Rooms are tiny, but again for 25 eur they are fine.
rooms on the road side were extremely noisy. you won't be able to close the windows in summer, because it gets incredibly hot in the room. and rooms dont have air conditioning.

Cons: The room was very small and there was so much noise from outside nightclub which was close to this hotel , we couldn't get sleep all night .

Pros: A basic hotel for budget travellers, but with clean and adequate rooms and friendly staff.

Pros: The staff is very friendly and give good information when we wnated to see places in the city, the room was very nice and clean, but the window has to be closed at night as it is quite noisy from the street. the location is excellent, a few minutes from the istiklal street and restaurants.
