Hotel Filippo Rome    

Nice and clean hotel however I did not expect to be in the middle of the Chinese quadrant. As it happens the hotel was the nicest thing in Rome. No way this is a romantic getawa. If this you are after chose different city.

The upsides: it was a goodlooking room with airco, FREE Wi-Fi (good connection btw), a television, bathroom with hairdryer (you can look at from your bed, cause there is a window between bath- and bedroom - we didn't mind because we're a couple, but could be awkward amongst friends, but you can close a curtain though), a little fridge and free mineral water every day. You would think we would be fully satisfied.But there are negatives. First of all, the location. We rang at the door of Hotel Filippo and immediately a (poorly English speaking) lady asked us to follow her... and she walked out the door! Apparantely, our room was located a few streets further. This brings to the second negative, breakfast. This was in a small bar in an alley and was not much to write home too: one drink and one croissant. If you were hungry, you could buy something extra (we personally went to the local supermarket to fill the rest of our stomachs) And last but not least: the bed is not what you call sleepworthy. it's just a matras on a hard plank and there was an annoying space between, so as a couple, we didn't feel close to each other.

Friendly service, rooms were very well, certainly worth the money.

Pros: Staff was very accommodating, giving us free use of computer/internet in the corridor outside our room. they spoke very good english, which made things easier than at some hotels. the room was large and newly re-furbished with nice, clean, new bathroom. location near termini train station and within walking-distance of some sites and nice neighborhoods.

Pros: Nothing, they didn’t have a room for me even i booked it earlier and it was confirmed.
Cons: There was no room for me, they moved me to the different hotel, around 5 min walk further. i wanted to be close to the rome termini, and i wasn’t.

Pros: Owner is very nice and helpful. service & facility is better than our expect even our building do not have 24 hrs door man. breakfast is ok as we could try traditional italy bread & drink. appreciate free wifi & clean room + daily make up the room. the hotel(hotel skyroma) they assign to us is convenient. overall i satisfy with this hotel.
Cons: Hotel location is not easy to find, just a small gold signage outside the bldg and we didnt recognized unless we ask the people within the building. it better to have clear signage as it look like a normal flat rather a hotel.

Pros: Very clean close location to the station
Cons: The breakfast is not really is, you just have a choice of one croissants (not fresh) coffe or juice
the internant extremmly slow, you will be lucky to open your e mail.

Pros: Free wifi, coffee machine, excelent location and staff. room had a good size.

Pros: The room was cleaned every day and was immaculately clean. the breakfast is small but lovely, at a cafe round the corner.
Cons: The area was a bit dodgy and the you can't tell its a hotel from the outside but location-wise its pretty good. the desk is 24 hours but it was difficult to get hold of them.

Pros: Hotel staff were vary helpfull and friendly

Pros: This hotel was very clean, comfortable and very conveniently located close to the central train station. we felt safe and very comfortable in the space. there was an elevator and 24 hour hotel services via phone which we never needed. this area has tons of wonderful cafes and restaurants. we would stay here again.
Cons: There are no dining facilities. we were given vouchers to have coffee and rolls at a nearby cafe. this was not a hardship or difficult, but some travelers may not care for this. the immediate neighborhood is not picturesque and the street was noisy--this noise was not obtrusive while inside the hotel

Cons: Towels are not clean properly and with smell.

Pros: We felt very comfortable there, the internet connection was speed and the staff attention very effective.

Cons: During the night there was some noice on the street but this can be in every town. not too bad.

Pros: Excellent location close to rome termini. room was very clean and had excellent facilities. the staff member was helpful with everything.
Cons: Breakfast was provided in a cafe at the termini and was minimal.

Pros: Very convenient to termini station. room spacious, beds comfortable. room made up every day. bathroom very clean.
Cons: Up several flights of stairs, bathtub/shower was really dangerousor safely to use--no grab bars or safety grips on tub/shower.
