In short: Good location, good personal service, Lovely terrace. The bread for breakfast could be improved.

Pros - Excellent location in Via Veneto, felt very safe in walking in the area in the evenings and very close to main sites (Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain etc) and only 5 minutes walk from Villa Borguese. The apartment was very clean and modern, had a small balcony. Friendly staff when they were available and nice to be brought breakfast to your room.Cons - As in previous comments, walls very, very thin - we were woken up in the early hours one morning by a lot of noise and banging from our neighbour. You could hear the other occupants conversations it was so thin! This was the main negative to staying here. Breakfast was basic, the usual continental fare. Apart from one day, the staff didnt speak any english - would recommend leaving a more thorough guide in english to explain services, coming and going from the apartment etc to avoid any confusion.All in all, we were happy and enjoyed our stay. Local Area: Would recommend eating further outside Via Veneto as the local restaurants were expensive! Lots of restaurants near the Trevi Fountain which we enjoyed more for a substantially smaller dent to the finances!

Cons: The elevator goes only up to the 5th floor, the hotel is on the 6th.

Pros: Great location, nice balcony, friendly staff.
Cons: A bit noisy, and too expensive for what it offers, but then all hotels in rome are expensive.

Cons: The steps, poor breakfast, no car parking.

Pros: Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. location of hotel was very central.
Cons: Hotel was extremely difficult to find (took us 2 hours)use barberini metro station and the piazza exit,walk up the hill till you see a set of steps in front of you,it's easy to find from there. the room we had was not shown on their website, it had a sloped roof and was quite difficult to get about at times.this wouldn't have normally been a problem but we were there for 6 days.

Pros: Good helpful staff - couldn't be nicer. breakfast on you private balcony is lovely. rooms were practical rather than overly posh.

Pros: Very nice, clean, spacious room. staff very helpful

Pros: Alex inn is very well located. close to both barberini piazza and the spanish steps. it is also close to metro station. within walking distance of all the important places. internet wifi, skytv are great.
Cons: The wall is really thin, we could hear what our neighbour was talking about, even when they cough slightly. we felt really uneasy about that. breakfast got boring after 2 days. housekeeping is only until certain time and if we go out later, then no housekeeping for that day. it would be a problem if you have a lot of luggage, there is noone to help, except the landlady. the lift is only until 5th floor, then had to carry luggage 1 level up. the landlady didn't recommend us any restaurant or anything except for hard rock cafe not so faraway if we really need to grab something. we couldn't find any close by grocery store. i realised that there weren't many of them around either.

Pros: Amazing!!! modern, comfortable and large room. bed was comfortable. the room had a private rooftop terrace area for eating breakfast/having fun. bathroom was perfect size. the owner and staff are extremely nice and helpful- gave us flowers as it was our honeymoon! strongly recommend
Cons: Although there are some strip clubs on the street, it is exceptionally well situated. only a 5 minute walk to the metro and 10 mins to trevi/ spanish steps.
