Hotel Royal Aboukir Paris    

the hostess " Mess" was wonderful but the hotel is not confortable, the bathroom really too short!!! anyway the place is good for my business and we return again also for the woman who was absolutely nice;;;For the rest it is only for sleep...

Pros: Lovely staff, room was beautiful
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Very convenient and central location. generally clean.
Cons: Lots of things broken ( door to bathroom, door on fridge unit, mirror in bathroom and lamp in bedroom). having a family room on the 5th floor not very convenient). no where in bathroom to put toiletries and due to it's position the clothes cupboard was unusable. we chose not to breakfast at the hotel because the room used was tiny dark and unpleasant.

Pros: Very central, althougha little disconcerting, when you are with kids, to have prostitutes hanging around outside the hotel!
Cons: Our room was incredibly dusty. there was no milk in our room so we couldnt have a cup of tea and even though we asked at reception they didnt provide us with any. the hair dryer worked for about 10 seconds. definitely not 3 star.

Pros: Friendly staff, not far from tube stations.
Cons: Wifi did not work

Pros: The price of the room was quite positive and i felt safe.
Cons: The staff was horrible and although their website said we could have a fifth person stay in the room with a cot they rudely informed us we could not. they treated my group in an a very unprofessional wawy.

Pros: Hotel is very close to everything you need, coffe shops, nice restaurants (julien), grocery shops, and best of all the shopping mecca, the textile district, shopping heaven. hotel has internet, room service and offers breakfast. also they have a shutlle service wich we didnt know about that was a lot cheaper than what we payed on another website.
Cons: Well....we didnt have anything really bad happen, but please do not expect too see the size of typical american hotel room. romms are tiny, and i mean really tiny, you can barely walk around the bed and no room to put your suitcases. the hot water has very low pressure. bathroom was nice and updated but so small you had to get out of it in order to towel dry...for real. elevator fits one person with 2 suitcases..thats it! after checking out other hotels in the area we realized that this hotel is the typical older hotel in paris, so we felt better. the tiny dark reception area, tiny room and red carpets and curtains made us think we got the in wrong kind of hotel when we first got there. the front desk guys were not very friendly, but the ladys were really nice. don't know why french thing maybe? the gentelman checking us out handed me credit card receipt and turned around, no thank you not good bye, nothing. definitely not the type of customer service you would expect in the states. after all we decided that we will still stay at this hotel for future visits since price is reasonable and we spent very litlle time in the room. i hope this was helpfull.

Pros: Nicely decorated room with modern clean bathroom and comfortable bed. kettle safe, and minibar fridge available in the room.
Cons: Only two electric sockets were available to power the kettle, fridge and desk lamp,and one of those wasn't working ! the reception area is very small with the luggage of everyone who had arrived early, stored in the public area in full view.

like many of the smaller paris hotels, the aboukir is situated down a narrow side road which some might find difficult to find. the entrance to the hotel is also easy to miss ! the area in which the hotel is situated is reasonable but anyone who is not particularly broadminded would probably be wise to steer clear of rue st.denis !

Pros: Good location
Cons: Hotel small, looks like a hostel. i dont see the hotel like a 3 stars hotel, may be 1.5 or maximum of 2. rooms very, very small. the hotel is horrible, dont for a stay in a paris trip. we are 3 adults and a baby and our luggage dont fit in the room, was a nightmare to manage our luggage. dont stay in this hotel, this hotel breaks our illusion of paris.
