Welcome House Rome    

I stayed at the Welcome House hotel for three nights at the start of September 2012 with four friends in two rooms. The hotel was very easy to locate and in a great central location. It felt very safe. The rooms were much bigger than I expected and we had plenty of storage space for our belongings. The mini bar had only a small selection inside which meant that we could fit our own drinks inside. There is a Despar supermarket only a few shops down Via Nazionale (less than 20 metres walk) where we stocked up. Breakfast was included and very simple. Breads inc. rolls and croissants were left on the door each morning with jams in your own fridge. Cereal, juice and hot drinks was available in the lobby area. The food provided was very fresh and if you got up early enough the bread was still warm.The staff especially Susanna at the hotel were incredibly helpful. Our rooms were ready when we arrived even though we were very early. Susanna asked us what we had planned and then told us the best ways to achieve it. For example on the first day when we wanted to see the Downtown area she drew a route on the free maps provided so that we could see as much as possible. There's a restaurant just around the corner in the same building called Beritzo which was so amazing that we went back the next night. It's a family run place with a good mixture of tourists and local guests so a good atmosphere and very convenient for this hotel.

Pros: Super staff -super room-could not ask for more.

Pros: Everything was as advertised. the hotel was clean, confortable and the staff vwere extremely helpful. the downtown location is great.
Cons: No, but the actual premises could be easier to find with more prominent signage.

Pros: Very good location.. just walk away from almost everything we wanted to see.. if not, walk to the train or bus is just as easy.. breakfast is cute..

fyi
if you have a car you can park for free and is very safe to leave your car here behind the hotel about a 2 to 5 min walk on a street named via placenza.. but you have to get in early before 7am or after 8pm otherwise it will be impossible to find a park.. we pared our car there for a week didn't use it once, didn't want too.. rome is crazy to drive in.. but fun.. haha..
Cons: Rooms needs a paint job.. haha.. one lady was nice the other one was a ..... didn't help much..
