Hotel Alfa Plantage Amsterdam    

I think the hotel is a great value for money and the staff were very polite and helpful. The room was a decent size for two people and the location of the hotel was within walking distance of the main attractions. Would definiately stay here again!!

This hotel doesn't have any star. furniture is very old. Bathroom is ok, small, but sclean.There isn't any restorant. I can't reccomend this hotel to anyone.

Kind recepcion, but poor service and not great management. Small rooms, not well cleaned and with a poor furniture. No telephone and Wireless very poor.

The stay was pleasant, as a Dutch-speaking Belgian I was surprised to find an international staff with no understandig of the Dutch language, but that's what you find in Amsterdam: a international, multicultural city. No breakfast is included, butt for the price you pay, there's no argument against that. The hotel is surely in the centre of the city, don't let google-maps mislead you: the city is walkable and public transportation is very accessible at the front of the hotel. The cleaning lady I met in the hallway was very friendly, and her work was very good. Butt as a former cleaner in my student times I would like to reccomend to clean the grooves from the elevator door (small detail offcourse). Further more: this hotel is nothing special at all, but perfect to enjoy the city for a couple of days and have a good base to catch some sleep during the night

Cons: Very small spiral staircase, difficult to use

Pros: Tram 9 from centraal couldn`t stop closer if it tried.
we also checked out artis zoo also very close. we had a great few nights here had a skylight and great view of the sky. also bbc 1 & 2 was available on the tv. small bath room but very clean & modern. unbelievabley helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: Carpet had a few suspect marks on it.

Pros: Good location, clean, pleasant staff
Cons: No tea/coffee in room, no breakfast area. biggest problem - we were charged £320 for our stay. unfortunately did not keep original price invoice but at the moment the same room would be £202. our charged price included tax but some thing very wrong here.

Pros: Gave extra pillows and allowed us to leave baggage with them prior to check in
Cons: Beds were uncomfortable, had to ask for hot water, kettle but no tea or sugar or cups,

Pros: Quiet location but close to city center (about 15 min walk). friendly staff. warm room. clean bathroom.

Pros: The staff members were polite and helpful and provided an excellent customer service experience.

Pros: Despite the hotel being a little walk away from most of the tourist attractions of amsterdam, this did not matter as the tram stopped literally outside. upon entering the hotel the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. the rooms were spotlessly clean, the beds comfortable and were beautifully quiet at night. i really enjoyed my stay here.
Cons: The only minor criticism was that the bedside lamp was broken, however, there was one either side of the room so myself and my mum could easily manage with one.

Pros: Hotel is well situated, at walking distance to the city centre.
Cons: Very expensive for the standard. no breakfast (which we were informed about but which is a pity)and the staff told us we would have to travel three stops to get something to eat. staircase dirty, stairs dangerous to climb (the lift is tiny). when our neighbours from the floor above walked across their room, the lamp at our ceiling ratteled so loud, we couldn't sleep. not a single hook in the room (for coats) or in the bathroom (for towels).

Pros: Great/quiet location, helpful staff, clean room.

Pros: Very nice staff, close to the zoo where i was going during my stay. clean comfortable rooms and in walking distance of the station... what more could you want?
