"Racing trip"

Good location, close to Gare du Nord, easy access to Metro,friendly staff who let us leave luggage after check out before return journey.

"was OK"

Not in the best district, but close to metro line 4. No elevator. Room clean, with TV but no hairdryer or fridge. No luggage room (with door and lock), just some shelves beside the bar where you can put your luggage after checking out. Good value for the price.

"good hotel for low budget"

Really good for who is a student ,or who is looking for cheap hotel in paris. Hotel is situated near bar's, takeaway restaurants and mc,donalds. From hotl to nearest metro I had 3 minutes walk and maybe 7 minutes from historic gare du nord station. I don't had any problems to comunicate in english and employers was so cute. I had single room which has been small but, it have new toiletes and showers.

"Excellent value for money"

I had an excellent stay at Hotel Jarry for a week. The room was simple and very clean. With free wifi and good services. Friendly and helpful, english speaking staff.About a 20 minute walk to the River Seine. About a 5 minute walk to the nearest metro station.Only negatives were having to drag a heavy suitcase to the top floor (6th floor). Also, the area around the hotel felt dodgy, but within 10 minutes walk towards the centre, the area turns much nicer. The actual hotel felt very safe.Would definitely stay there again and recommend it. Excellent value for money.

"Good value"

I was a bit worried at first as the hotel is a 1* but actually it was very clean, perfect location, the breakfast was fairly good, though we had it just once as there are many shops nearby. Our room had a newly reconstructed bathroom and we got CLEAN towels every day . The hotel was just 20min walk from Notre Dame so there wasnt a chance of getting lost. If the price is good, I will definitelly stay there once I am back to Paris.

"small room - for a good price and with nice service"

We just wanted to spend two days in Paris and therefore it was a very good choice. If you are looking for a place just to spend the night at the perfect is a good idea. The service was very very nice and helpful. The room (double-bed and en-suite-shower) was tiny but nice and worth the money. Some people might not feel comfortable in the area the hotel is located but there was no point we were beeing afraid.

"Cheap Clean Place"

Central location, busy lively area, cheap and clean hotel, noise of other guests can be a pain. Would stay again - if you're on the fourth,fifth or sixth floor bring oxygen for climbing stairs!

"Reasonable choice"

The hotel offers very small rooms but it's clean and there was no problem to add mattress for a child. We stayed for 3 nights (family with 2 adults and 2 children) and we had enough place to sleep in comfort – in fact we were outside all the time. We found what we expected: nice price and Metro station in proximity.

"Budget hotel: great location, okay neighbourhood, poor interior"

The greatest thing about Jarry Hotel is that it is located very close to Gare du Nord, a central metro station that transfers to most of the common metro lines. However, this is a budget hotel! Keep this in mind if you book this hotel - keep your expectations low. It is very outdated. The beds are somewhat saggy and the blankets are old, a bit tattered, and probably haven't been washed for awhile. They like to cut corners by not providing pillowcases (they wrap the bedsheet over the pillows). The throw pillows are in the same condition as the blanket - throw them aside or put a shirt/towel over them if you plan to sleep on them.During my stay there was construction happening at the adjacent building but if you close the windows shut it will significantly reduce the noise.The bathroom is minimal with a tight shower, sink and mirror, and a toilet. There is a funky smell in the room but if you flush the toilet, close the lid, and air the room out you won't notice it anymore.I paid about 64EU a night for two people on the 5th floor. Oh yeah, there is no lift! If you can't handle narrow stairs then I would not recommend the 5th floor.

"HOTEL JARRY IN PARIS"

We travelled as a family of 2 adults and 2 children. This hotel was hard enough to find even the taxi man was unsure as to where it was; The price was good; The hotel is basic and the room small. There is no tea/coffee facilities in the room; which we were disappointed with. Each time we wanted tea we either had to go down to the lounge or bring a tray up 3 flights of stairs or to be exact 52 steps!!!!!!! trust me I counted them!!!!!!!!!! Overall cheaper than most places, has alot of restaurants when you exit hotel and turn right. It was fine as we only stayed 3 nights but anymore I think the lack of room space would have got to us!!!!!!!!!

"Cheap, clean and cheerful"

Hotel is situated not far from Gare du Nord so has easy access to Paris sights. Metro station (Chateau d'Eau) nearby if you don't fancy walking. Rooms are small and what you'd expect from a 'backpacker' type hotel. However, hotel is very clean, staff helpful and friendly and hotel felt secure. Fairly busy area, even at night, so don't book if you are looking for a peaceful location! Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Not the prettiest part of Paris but ease of getting around from this location is a compensation. Good if travelling by Eurostar as only a 10-15 minute walk. Also not far from Gare de L'Est. We walked to the Louvre, Pigalle, Monmarte and Hotel de Ville, catching Batobus for Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower etc.,

"Much Better Than Expected"

The hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance of the Gare du Nord, and therefore you can easily get to anywhere in Paris by Metro or by walking. The hotel staff were very friendly, and the hotel was warm. The room was clean and even had a balcony, although the view was only of the building opposite. The only downside was that we were on the 6th floor and there is no lift, just a steep spiral staircase, but this was not a problem for us, although it might be for some, especially if you have large bags. Excellent value for money in the heart of Paris.

"Basic but comfortable"

This hotel is literally 10 minutes walk from the Gare du Nord. It is a very basic hotel and good as a base for our 5 days in Paris. We had a family room with 2 double beds. The staff were friendly and welcoming and spoke good English. We found the hotel was in a quiet location and there was no noise during the night. It is an extremely short walk to the nearest Metro station, convenient for central Paris. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the shower always had hot water. For 5 euros we had the breakfast which consisted of coffee, fresh orange, a croissant and a half baguette with butter & jam. There is a supermarket at the end of the road to purchase your days rations as well. We enjoyed our stay here. A good basic and cheap hotel for people who just need a base to go from and beds to flop onto at the end of the day. We would stay here again.

"Hotel Jarry - It's Fine"

Couldn't expect more for the price. 24 hour courteous service. Rooms small but clean and serviceable. Safe colourful area. Not noisy.If you have a problem with climbing multiple flights of steep winding stairs (I guess it's the same for most hotels in this area - 6 flights could be a challenge) contact the hotel before you go and request a room on first or second floor.

"Convenient place"

"Location is key..."

Hotel Jarry is a little place close to main tube links into the city, great links to site seeing destinations. The room itself was rather small but clean and plenty of hot water in the bathroom and heating in the room which was a great as was -8 for the duration of our stay! The walls are thin so when at night the people in the next room are chatting it can be rather noisy but not a bad place to stay really for the money and location. If you are wanting a cheap weekend in central Paris this is a good place to get your head down.

"Cheap, average location but expect poor Quality"

It is bit difficult to find the place as there is no map attached that you can follow. If you asked people, they don't know where it is. But, once you found the Hotel, you may love it as it easy access from train station.The Service is very good as the attendant are all polite and helpful.My concern is the cleanliness as the beddings are very old and dirty and seems like not replaced.. my wife even put her own towel on top of the pillow to cover pillow, mybe because the room is not tready yet when we arrived. :-( Electric outlet is broken and therefore we can't charge our phone.Personally, I would rather add some more Euros next time to find a much more comfortable Hotel for my family.
