"Good Location but be wary!"

This is a good location for a London stay but be wary as this chain of hotels takes and confirms your booking but then sends you anywhere they have other vacancies. We arrived and were located to another hotel way back near the airport, unbeknowns to us. Obviously this was unsatisfactory as we would have spent too long commuting to and from central London. Another hotel was organised and we ended up in a terrible location in a tiny room with no window to the outside. Next morning we took ourselves back to the original hotel and insisted on a decent room in the hotel where we had originally booked or a refund. Do not take this run around treatment from them, after reading more reviews it seems that this is a common practice for this chain of hotels!

"Decent hotel in nice area"

We stayed in this hotel for four nights. When we arrived I was a bit surprised that we were brought across the street to another establishment (to a basement floor), and not the one I saw in the internet. Personnel could have been more polite (reception), but overall the stay was ok. Rooms were cleaned every day and the area is good.

"Check for bed bugs they made my stay a miserable one!!"

We booked to stay at this hotel however the day before we were due to travel the hotel called and moved us to a sister hotel. The premier Shaftesbury Notting Hill, due to heating issues at the Kensington one, they upgraded the room & included breakfast with our stay. The room was really small but looked well presented , the staff were friendly enough. After the first night I noticed lots of what looked like mosquito bites, thought nothing of it however as I woke up on the last morning noticed something crawling past my nose, it was a bed bug!! I jumped up by this time I'm covered in around 80 bites!! We strip off the bed & catch a further 2 of the things & take them to reception on check out & the receptionist didn't seem all that horrified & immediately offered to refund part of my stay. On returning home I visit my dr as the bites were getting angrier & making me feel quite unwell, I'm now on really strong antibiotics & antihistamines, I have written to the hotel.

"Moved to another hotel"

I booked a room iat Premier Shafttsbury London Kensington by Earls Court station, but were moved to their hotel in Notting hill. They said it was only 2 stop by the tube but forgot to tell me it also were 2 stop by bus from Notting Hill Station. This cost me a lot of extra time to get to the my apointment in the evening.They did not give me any info about the move before I came to the hotel. They said it was because they did work at the hotel I had booked. But the were just overbooked. I hate people that are lying to me. So I will never use these hotel again...

"Great Hotel"

Great hotel and locstion. Stayed on a Sunday night and got a very good rate. Breakfast was great and staff were very helpful. Very close to tube station also. I would stay again.

"Royal Albert Hall"

On first arrival you feel you are in some out of the way back street, but you are not too far from some lovely mews in Kensington & Chelsea borough. Terrific pub and French restaurant behind the hotel. Come out turn left and the left again down a small side street. Value for money in both the pub and restaurant.Close to station which links into the West End, so handy if you need to shop. An area that is worth discovering. Close to Kensington Palace gardens and a nice stroll down to Knightsbridge for a glass of wine in Harrods. Hotel very clean and the rooms are comfortable. Would visit again.

"Satisfied ! Great Value!"

Convenient location (150m from the underground), nice service, adapter provided if needed. Room is large, clean, comfortable, quiet and decorated. The price is worth the value. My best stay in London! Strong recommendation.

"Hotel was in an excellent location"

Pros: Hotel was in an excellent location. staff were friendly and polite.
Cons: On arrival i was told that due to a double booking i could not have the room originally booked. i was offered an alternative room in the basement. i was told that this was an upgrade as the room was bigger. the room was bigger but was very dingy with poor lighting and without windows. however, the staff at receptionquickly found me another room when i compained to them.

"Great location - earls court tube station right at the end of the street &..."

Pros: Great location - earls court tube station right at the end of the street & museums within easy walking distance.
Cons: Everyone arriving were told the hotel was overbooked & they were being transferred to either their paddington hotel or to one across the street. i insisted & got to stay at the original one i had booked. had to call down to reception as tv not working. man came up & took it off wall & managed to get it working. towels smelled like they had been tumble dried without seeing the inside of the washing machine. thie improved a little as my week progressed. roome was tiny. there was no wi-fi in the rooms as advertised but a very short cable so had to scrunch up into a corner to work - not at all successful. the switches on the hairdrier provided didn't work so had to use the wall socket to switch it on & off if you could stand the hi setting! but i think worst of all was the pathetic shower & i have used some pathetic showers in my time - but this one really was the worst. finally - don't get the hotel to book cabs for you - i took a regular black cab from kings cross to the hotel & was charged £17 - i got the car (no meter that i could see) from the hotel back to kings cross a week later & he charged £24!

Pros: Although the facities may have been fairly simple and basic, they where not required due to my purpoise of visit and location of hotel (which was excellent). i thouroughly enjoyed my stay and the staff where excellent and remembered who i was which i like. would most certaintly recommend.
Cons: No mini bar!

Pros: Breakfast was included, nice furnishings, nice tv in room.
Cons: Bedbugs! terrible infestation of bedbugs - and if found in one room, are they spreading throughout the hotel? hopefully they will fumigate soon. slightly grimey overall, dust on ledges etc. cleaning may not be as comprehensive as it should be.

"We were having a girls weekend"

Pros: We were having a girls weekend. on arrival staff were very freindly, we were upgaded to a deluxe twin room, given complimentary wine, and complimentary breakfast the next morning. what a fabulous start to our weekend! hotel was very clean and comfortable in ideal spot. 5 mins walk from the tube so access to any part of london was easy.

"Price however you get what you pay for"

Pros: Price however you get what you pay for.
Cons: The tap in the shower did not work, we needed to prepare for a 22 hour plane trip and to wake up to a cold shower was annoying. the fridge did not work when i rang to complain they said well you shouldnt have a fridge in your room anyway. wifi only works in the lobby.

Cons: Room available only after 2pm. very small room. separate building from reception desk. magnetic card did not work.
