lovely 3 night stay in this hotel, the location was spot on for seeing all the sights of amsterdam. i have to highly recommend this hotel even just for its staff, who were extremely helpful and friendly every time we came into contact with them - would definitely stay here again

Staff was very helpful. Rooms ok. I would stay there again. Our visit was a lay over so were not there more than a few hours. Have no complaints. Value is equal to cost. No lift and bell boy easily carried all our luggage up 3 flights. Very friendly and helpful.

Visited with a friend for two nights. The staff are great and location is exellent. The rooms are very basic but we paid basic money. The only negative is the noise, you could hear a mouse fart through them windows and as Amsterdam is very busy and a constent work site it does'nt make for good sleep. No matter how much you drink and smoke.

I went to Amsterdam for a last minute break before Christmas with my partner. We were a little sceptical about booking Hotel Internationaal as the rooms were so cheap for such a prime location, it seemed too good to be true. After reading reviews if the hotel on various websites we went for it and I'm really glad we did. On arrival the staff were really helpful and polite. Our room was a double room with private bathroom on the top floor. It was exceptionally clean, I couldn't have asked for more. The bed was really comfy and sheets clean. It was a good size room with a wardrobe and desk, with room to walk around. it was slightly noisy at night, but that was to be expected given the location. The hotel provided ear plugs but it wasn't that bad so there was no need to use them. The location was perfect, a 2 minute walk from central station. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Internationaal and we won't hesitate to book there again next time we go to Amsterdam.

Great room and very friendly chap checked us in. Is in a great location and felt like we had a room in a house. Happy to have our bags on last day so left them til leaving. I would stay again. Very steep stairs to rooms. Great location.

The international hotel provides clean basic accommodation very close to central station and the red light district. As it is in the heart of Amsterdam it can be noisy however the hotel provides ear plugs. The hotel room was on suite with a TV wardrobe and sink in the room. As with all budget accomadaton in Amsterdam the accomadation was compact and the stairs steep but that's expected. The staff are friendly and helpful. I have been to Amsterdam quite a few times now and believe me this place has been one of the better places I've stayed, in fact this is the second time I've stayed. Excellent for coffee shop users.

Good hotel. Excellent location!! Easy to find with helpfull friendly staff.Rooms are very basic, small but clean. overpriced for the room but the location is amazing!Barely 5 mins from central station, 2 min to red light district, right in the heart of everything.Staff really helpfull, let us leave bags there before 2pm check in and after 10.30am check out!Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed 4 nights here. Hotel was everything you could ask for in a trip to Amsterdam. Rooms were clean and spacious and had large opening window. Shared Facilities were always clean and rarly had to wait to use them. Shower room was great and always plenty of hot water no matter what time of the day it was used. Typical dutch stairs to access rooms so wouldnt recommend for people with movement issues. Ideally situated for all sights and great base for your stay in amsterdam. I will definatly be staying here when i book for next years trip

This Hotel is great for those looking fo r the true Amsterdam Experience. Located in the heart of Amsterdam Old Quarter its a short walk to many attractions. 5 minute walk from Amsterdam Centrall train station. Great Atmosphere, friendly service., clean room and bath. If you are looking for Luxurious room this is not your hotel, but if you are there to really experience all that Amsterdam has to offer and a convenient locations for great price, this is the place to be

Great room with a view(Room 32), great service, only problem was an uncomfortable bed. GREAT location...will stay there in the future(but please, get a spring for the matress)...otherwise great.

The staff were great and couldn't be more helpful but unfortunately the hotel leaves a lot to be desired and was very expensive for what it was. The stairs to the bedrooms were almost vertical so thank goodness we only stayed one night. I had booked the en-suite room as I didn't fancy shared facilities and that was really the only saving grace about it. But, as mentioned, the staff were great.

As a regular visitor to Amsterdam I usually go for a self catering apartment but this year myself and my friends were looking for a cheep budget hotel in the heart of Amsterdam (redlight) That was also smoking friendly (yes weed),This was with out a doubt the best budget hotel in the area,The staff are very helpful and friendly and the place is very clean and cossy,im planing on staying there again this year,

Pros: The location was perfect -just a stones throw from the railway station, and on a lively, bustling street surrounded by restaurants and close to many of the tourist attractions. the room was basic, but very cosy -which was welcome as the weather was icy cold! the staff were really friendly. the bar downstairs had a great atmosphere. we'd definitely stay again.
Cons: Not even really negatives, but the room was looking a little bit tired and could do with smartening up, but the cosiness and comfy bed made up for this. you could hear noise from the busy street below, but ear plugs were provided so it wasn't a massive problem, and wouldn't put us off staying again.

Pros: Very friendy staff ,clean room ,great location ,good price what more can i say .
Cons: Yes it's a little noisy at night but then your there for that any way also the stairs are steep so if that's a problem then better to look els where.

Pros: The staff were friendly and welcoming, there was a great atmosphere in the hotel. the rooms and bathroom and toilet were very clean and the staff couldn't do enough to help. never made it down to breakfast as we rarely surfaced before lunchtime. you couldn't ask for a better location. i will definatley book this hotel again and have already reccommended it to friends.

Pros: Friendly staff, lovely bar downstairs, great central location very close to the main station
Cons: The steepest stairs in the world, shared bathroom/toilet can be a little noisy

Cons: We stayed in one of the top room so there were allot of stairs but totally worth it!!!!

Pros: This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and we will defo return. no nonesense hotel that is clean with friendly staff. great location!
