Quite small rooms, but enough for our stay. Excellent breakfast, that wasn't included but worth every cent! Good service and nice staff. Over all a very good hotel and calm location by one of the canals. One bonus was the house heron that sat outside the entrance every day waiting for a treat!

This hotel has a great location conveniently within walking distance to most popular locations for tourists. However, the hotel rooms are very small - basically hard to move around. We were put in a room with windows facing roof tops. Some electric appliances did not work, and the TV is extremely small with few channels.

This hotel is hard to find. Taxi driver could not find it even with GPS system, and when he rang hotel no one was on the desk. When we got there, the desk guy was very good and informative, but the next day a lady was there who could not work the wake up call on the phone.We wanted to book a taxi next morning at 5.00am and she said it would cost E45. It actually cost E64.She did not know how to turn the internet on which was very inconvenient.Room with twin beds was so small one had to sit on the bed to get past.Underneath the beds was a sea of fluff, not swept in a long time.<however breakfast the next morning was excellent, lovely little dining roomWe thought this hotel was a bit expensive because of the size of the room. Probably would not stay there again, but it was close to walk to where the tours left from and the canal cruises.

This hotel is certainly one of the friendliest and nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. It has a really charming and friendly atmosphere, I would recommend it highly to anyone who's having a little holiday in Amsterdam. Location is within easy walking distance off all the nice central locations in Amsterdam and it's reasonably priced. But mostly it's just a really nice little hotel. I certainly won't be looking for anywhere else to stay next time I'm in Amsterdam.

Pros: Excellent situation on the amstel, just opposite the canal boats. a very pretty, friendly hotel.
rooms were typically small for an old dutch house but very comfortable with lovely views of the canal. an excellent buffet breakfast every morning. we will definitely return!

Pros: The staff were extremely helpful and engaging. the hotel is in a very convenientand generally quiet location, and our room was pleasant with a lovely viem of the amstel.
Cons: Did not appreciate having to pay for breakfast after the first day, given the price of the room and nothing being included in the hotel description to warn us.

Pros: The room was not as small as we thought. loved the location and the breakfast was great, free the first morning but 10 euro the next day.
Cons: During our stay someone stole all the keys to the rooms and ended up coming into our room while my roomate was asleep. she being pregnant and alone was very freaked out by this, hotel did nothing to compensate.
