very convenient position for sightseeing. rooms very clean and spacious. no bath, hence four out of five for the room. breakfast room itself is sparse, however the breakfast was very good - bacon, eggs, fruit, cereal, cheese and cold meats and a lovely salad. tea and coffee from a machine. overall very good value.

The hotel was within easy walking distance of dam square and all the bars and restaurants. There was also a food hall about 200 metres away. Each room was nicely decorated including a very large fridge. It was very quiet in the hotel at night so got plenty of sleep. Breakfast was ok, but had to wait one morning for a table, too many guests, too little tables.Breakfast is served until 1030 but the first morning we didnt come down until 1000 and more or less straight away the bacon ran out and they informed us there was no more, so advice is go early, as we did second morning and got table straight away and plenty of bacon. Would definately recommend this hotel and will definiately be going back there.

This hotel is well placed near Dam Square, has a modern interior and rooms. High standard hotel at a value for money price.Hotel staff were freindly and easy to deal with.There is a tram line running in front of the rooms which can make it hard to sleep off a hangover during the day. Trams are not running during the night so no problem getting a good nights rest.Would definately stay again.

This hotel was clean and very central to everything we needed in Amsterdam.It was not particularly cheap but OK.We were on the second floor and my friend struggled with stairs which were steep and narrow. They decided to paint the lift door the door we were there.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights 3-5 Nov 12 We had a great stay The hotel staff were very friendly They also obliged by giving us a ground floor room as requested. The hotel & rooms were clean Breakfast was adequate a little busy at times however not the hotels fault .The breakfast team worked hard to ensure food was replenished The free use of computers & printer was excellent and allowed us to print off our boadring passes for the flight home .The hotel is also in an excellent location central to most attractions.We would definitely book this hotel again and recommend to friends & familyThanks for a great stayBilly & Sylvia

for a city center hotel it is ok, parking is a problem, location very good, rooms clean and tidy, breakfast could have been a bit more exciting overall it was value for money with helpful staff

This is a clean and comfortable hotel. Breakfast is quite basic but enjoyable and is what to expect for this level of hotel.The hotel is in a great location 2mins from Dam square and the tram stop is 30 seconds up the road.There are no tea/coffee facilities within the rooms but there is a machine in the lobby area or cafe across the road that does takeaway (very reasonable). I would definately return to this hotel.

I cannot fault my stay at the Nova. All staff were helpful, curteous and polite. I went with my elderly mother to visit my son and his girlfriend who already stay in Amsterdam. We were given a lovely large room with a nice view over the front street. Very comfy beds excellent storage, great shower and bathroom which was also very spacious. In the morning it was downstairs for a lovely buffet breakfast. We would defiitely go back.

The room I was in was 403 and was a reasonable size with a clean and quite new looking bathroom. The room was cleaned each day.The breakfast was not really that great and was lacking much choice. Even the coffee was pretty rubbish. Most of the hotel looks like it could do with a lick of paint to give it a clean, modern feel. When you walk into the hotel the foyer is very clean and tidy and quite modern looking. It's a shame the rest of the hotel is not like that.Would I stay here again? Not at the current rates but I would if it was cheaper.

Pros: Very good location and very helpful staff. the hotel was warm and cosy, clean room and bathroom. we we visited amsterdam from northern ireland. we stayed in a triple room which was basic, comfortable and spacious. good breakfast included in price. would come back and stay again.

Pros: They were in the process of renovating but didn't affect us. the bathroom was amazing and i believe the rest of the room will be upgraded in time. either way we were still very happy and once the rooms are up to the standard of the bathrooms this place will be amazing! hope they don't put the prices up to reflect though :-) great facilities too, offering imacs for public use. breakfast was good. many thanks and hope to see you again.
