"Washington Square Hotel"

Quirky, old fashioned but clean hotel with a really great location. Friendly helpful staff made us feel really welcome. Tasty free breakfast and really comfy bed! Would stay here again as great value for money.

"Review Washington Square Hotel"

The room was small but adequate for my requirements. The desk staff were helpful and check in and out went smoothly. They offered help with transport at the end of my stay and stored my luggage after checkout. The lobby staff were friendly, offering help but it was limited and superficial. After arriving at the hotel by taxi, there was no assistance with entering the hotel with my baggage; there were several steps to climb. I was assisted to the lift with my baggage from the desk (maybe 20 feet) but then left to get to my room by myself. I had difficulty in finding my room as I had been lead to a lift that was not appropriate to my room location. Make sure that you check on where the breakfast is being served. I was advised that it was served off the lobby. However this space was not always open and then I found that breakfast was also served in the lower level.

"Washington Square Hotel"

overall a very good experience. The rooms are small, but clean and efficient. The staff is most friendly and helpful. Usually stay in Midtown East but love the West Village location. Would definately stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay: easily booked, plenty of advance info, g ood directions. nice welcome - even a slight rate reduction/upgrade! - and good breakfast.Bar prices a bit high for poor English folks - and rather briskly served.....only comment was that the aircon didn't appreciably cool the room!Many thanks - Neil Wayne, Lesley Severn

"Great choice"

We loved the location with easy access to all areas. The staff were friendly & helpful. Rooms are small but clean with very comfy beds & linens. Great that you can open the window for fresh air.

Pros: Great staff. excellent location.
Cons: Poor temperature control. sure, it was 60 degrees. but turning off the heat in the room, although not in the bathroom where there seemed to be no way to turn the heat off, was insufficient; we had to use the air conditioner to cool the room sufficiently.
