 "Stay at Hotel Balkan, London"
Condition of room very different from appearance on picture on website.Very limited variation of breakfast and most of the time one had to wait for the staff to bring the food. That was if you were lucky to get a table.Mould on walls around shower/bath tub. Not possible to close (or lock) the bathroom door.Noisy (traffic).Reception staff friendly and helpful.

Good Cityhotel with connection to the bus and tube. Personal are friendly and nice. We had a 3-bed-rooms - was a little small, but just for sleeping ok ;-)

Reasonably nice except for a few key problems. Firstly you receive almost no info at front desk, no formal check-out and there was no bin in the room. However, the room was clean and well sized for the price.

 "Friendly and helpful"
When we first arrived, we were given a fairly large room but it was located underground. There was a stairs leading down to our level just outside the window. Because the weather was so hot those few days, we had to open the window. We didn't think it was very safe as anyone could climb in. So we requested for a change of rooms and they complied the next day (though to a smaller room). I think they are really friendly and they do try to help you whenever you ask. Breakfast was alright, but no meat! The rooms were rather small but not claustrophobic. They only change the towels once in 2 days though. The location is quite alright, just slightly further out (near the end of the lines). Nearest underground stations being Goldhawk Road (Hammersmith & City and Circle Line) and Shepherd's Bush Market (Central Line). Overall I think I would come back and stay here again.

1) bathroom floor was wet2) no space to store wet towels2) only a few tables on breakfast room, so that the employee told us to hurry up( she tookplates an cups) to make place for next customer- Manager was helpfull, we couls check out, but leave our luggages at reception during last day

 "family shopping trip"
It was very central because the westfield shoppingcenter and tube was near. there was not so clean in the room but we did get clean towels every day . you must hurry to eat your breakfirst because it was a small room so they did not want us to stay there so long time i miss the bacon but there was scrambleed eggs and beans :)

Cons: Shower drain was not working and nobody seem interested in fixing it, no handle on the inside of bathroom door, after 2 days we got a nail hammerd in instaed of a handle.

Cons: Camere abbastanza pulite, ma piuttosto povere. l'acqua calda va e viene, la prima sera abbiamo dovuto fare la doccia con l'acqua fredda. la colazione lascia parecchio a desiderare (ad esempio c'è un solo barattolo di marmellata per tavolo da cui ognuno puo attingere col proprio cucchiaio, non il top per l'igiene), e alla fine abbiamo preferito farla fuori, alla stazione hammersmith i posti non mancano. tutto sommato per dormire e lavarsi è ok, ma penso che ci sia di meglio. sconsiglio.

Pros: They had a very nice breakfast
Cons: Room was very small but clean. television didn't work good, almost unusable. staff was distant........but then i found all the people in london that way.

Pros: I didn't actually stay there-it was full so i was put in hotel euro next door. hotel balkan seemed to be a house divided into rooms with no reception. the reception operated in the hotel next door. staff were very friendly and helpful. rooms clean and basic. the location was great and that was the best thing really. this is a basic hotel and that's why it's cheap.
Cons: I stayed in a room in the basement the first night. it had bed bugs. i was changed to a room on the top floor the second night. the heating and the shower were broken. no extra blankets so it was really cold. the next night i was moved to another hotel next door again and that room was fine except it didn't have any curtains! the whole thing was a bit ridiculous really. every room has a fridge but no hairdryer or extra blanket and has only one towel. i couldn't really relax as i kept having to pack up and move again.
