Pros: Location was excellent. right on the ramblas and near two metro stops. one person on check-in desk but they were very helpful. nice view of ramblas and windows were about 98% soundproof so no trouble sleeping. excellent food market right behind the hotel. fresh fruit daily. prices low.
Cons: Not one english channel so tv was useless !!
two o'clock check in time is very inconvient for those who arrive on early morning flights. store your luggage and walk around jetlagged for hours. no good reason why the rooms could not have been ready at least by noon. seems they only had 2 maids looking after all 30 some rooms. small fridge didn't work properly and after several notices they still never did fix it. things were kept cool but not cold.

Pros: The staff were very helpful, the location is excellent for the market and also if you want to walk the ramblas - although it is only a couple of minutes walk to get off the main tourist routes. the noise was no problem, especially on the top floor as you must expect some if you stay on one of the main tourist streets in europe. the free wifi in the rooms was a godsend and there is a wide choice of tv channels to watch - including canal+ futbol and others sports channels.

Pros: Very good size rooms, had no issues with noise even though our room faced la ramblas. very helpful staff, generally very good stay.
Cons: Opted out of breakfast as a little on the pricey side when booked though the website, (however €4 cheaper per person if you wait until you arrive at the hotel), but no more than other hotels i could see.

Pros: Hotel is very well situated for getting to all barcelona attractions - metro and bus station very close - romm smallish but more than adequate for a short stay - the hotel is very clean and modern - our room overlooked the market and was very quiet at night - would certainly recommend and stay there again on any future visit to barcelona
