 "Valuable modern city hotel"
Centerhotel is directly next to the impressive concert hall, close to the major shopping streets and the old town – the location is actually perfect. Many restaurants can be found in walking distance, a hotel restaurant is provided with a panorama view (we have not tested the food, but the room is the same as for the breakfast)You can reach the hotel using the airport shuttle, the return shuttle is directly organised and booked with the hotel. The receptionists are very helpful especially regarding sightseeing and further questions. Many public parking lots are available directly in front of the Hotel, which are cheap (100kr for the first hour, then I think 100kr for the rest of the day or something like this). I think the hotel also has 3 parking lots for free, but I think many guests use their cars ;)The breakfast is good and similar to other icelandic hotels: coffee, tee, fruit juices, skyr, cheese, vegetables, jams, waffels, etc. and some warm dishes. BUT the viewer is excellent – especially from the terrace.Beds are good and comfortable. I subtracted a point for the sleep quality, as our room was on the first floor where we could here the entrance door being closed. Otherwise no complains ;)The hotel itself is very modern where interior has standard qualities. Our bath room had a modern shower and the typical amenities of a modern hotel.I can fully recommend a stay.
