Check-in and check-out time is very fast; no lines, no frustrations.Rooms are not big, but very efficiently organized.Service is good; young people, no pressure, easy going.Suggestion; put in a small refrigerator.

Our Daughter and her 12 y/o son stayed in one room and my wife and myself in the other over night after checking in our rental car departing on a morning flight.We checked in and dropped our bags in our rooms and then turned in the car. The walk back is easy, the short portion outside the Terminal Building is covered.Our Grandson just loved it, free movies, free WiFi, free call to his Dad in the States, and really neato room. Worked for his Mom too.My wife was not so happy in the rather compact room. I thought the bed, wider and longer than a King was great, I slept well, my wife did not. She did not have enough room on the bed and says I pulled the comforter off her.The Bar and Restaurant are set up for 24 hour use, good selection of prepared food including Ben and Jerry ice cream. Lots of room to sit on ground floor.

I stayed at the hotel for a few hours only, and I wished I had more time to enjoy it.The remote control was not operational, but since it was late and I was tired I decided just to sleep. However during the night the room was a little cold and I realized I needed the remote control to fix it, but at that point I almost had to leave so I live with that.I enjoyed the aesthetics of the place.Emanuele

This is a fun place to stay. Staff SUPER!!! Friendly, helpful, they make you feel like you are the most important person alive. I had a latte and the person wrote a greeting & characterful face in the froth. Everything very clean, 24/7 staff, theme night dinner (excellent), Best WiFi we had in Europe. Rooms are cubical and small but very efficient, very comfortable bed/pillows, fun technology. My husband travels a lot and loved the place so much he plans to stay there every time he flies thru Amsterdam which is often.

My wife and I satyed here overnight to catch a plane the next day. I chose based on reports online and was not disappointed.Close to terminal, clean, good value. If you're after a 5 star resort with all the trimmings...maybe not.If you're after good accommodation, close to the airport, you can't miss.

I had booked two rooms for the family for our layover traveling back to the US, but for some reason my easytobook.com booking was screwed up and only one room was reserved. The staff at citizenM handled the issue quickly and efficiently, and even got us adjoining rooms. The rooms are unusual, but are unique, comfortable and efficient. The staff is always very friendly and eager to help in any way to make your stay comfortable. This is a great hotel for a short stay, like a layover or quick business trip for meetings near Schiphol. I've stayed here multiple times, and will continue to do so as I pass through Schiphol.

Staying at the CitizenM in Amsterdam was a good start for our holidays. The staff was very helpful to sort out all kinds of issues we had with the booking through Easy-to-Book.com. I would nobody to recommend to use easy to book again. Everything was wrong with the reservation. The organization was not reachable at all to sort things out. Luckily the staff of CitizenM solved all issues by themselves.

I booked two rooms and had a confirmation from EasyBook. When I arrived at the hotel they only had one reserved. They said this was frequent problem when booking through a "third party". They found another room, but we were charged more than the agreed upon rate thru EasyBook. Since we had a very early flight, we didn't have time to fight it.

I was there on a short stay before catching another plane and location-wise, you could not wish for better. You are within walking distance to the airport and can easily catch a train there to the city-centre . Rooms are nice and well-equipped (for couples / single travellers, is impossible to share those rooms with friends). But overall good.Now the bad part. Receptionist messed up my reservation. I had two rooms paid for (one for myself and another one for a friend of mine) which I booked online. At check-in, they guaranteed me that everything was fine and that my friends should just give their names once they got there (much later at night). Once they came however, the booking 'magically disappeared' and could not be found anymore. It took them one hour and they still could not find the second booking on their systems - they blamed the glitch on an IT problem saying this does not usually happen. Anyways, we ended up having to pay for the room again (although this was pre-paid) as we just wanted to shower and get to town (this was at 10pm). By the time we got to town, it was already 12pm - which kind of ruined our evening, since we had dinner bookings and so on..Now next morning, we get a knock at the room door, saying that we should leave within 20 minutes or we would be charged for another night stay. Mind you, this is at 11am when we explicitely told reception the night before to make sure we were not woken up and with the do not disturb sign outside of the door! Anyways, I end up having to go to reception to sort this out. Helpful staff but they were clueless as they did not know what happened the night before.Overall, I think location/room quality is good for a traveller looking for a short stay.Main issue, especially for business travellers, is the poor quality of customer service. You would not expect to wait for 1h for your room and be kicked out early morning although you still have another night stay. Staying at the Sheraton next time - much better service.

i love the hotel, because we stay only for one night and have all you need also if you go more days. its near the airport and near of the centre of Amsterdam. easy to locate.the room was excellent, clean and the thing that you could manage everything with a remote control is amazing.i really like the color lights taking a shower. lolthanks

Highly recommend. Only negatives are price and selection of food and no suites or family rooms. I doubt we would return as a family for lack ofvalue but as a couple it's ideal.

What a pleasant surprise citizenM was. Very friendly staff on arrival with quick check in. For me the best quality of the hotel was how it has embraced modern technology and decor. It made my stay fund and exciting and now I’m aware of the brand I’ll stay there again.

CitizenM Hotel was a nice place to stay while my girlfriend and I spent a weekend in Amsterdam. It allowed for easy access to train and the airport. The rooms were very tidy and well kept and the service we recieved from the staff was very helpful. The price of our stay was a little high considering it wasn't in the city centre , this was the only offputting factor, and would have given pause for thought when booking if it weren't for the late hour in which we were booking our holiday.

We had a good night but had an a unfortuanate incident in the publiv snack bar. I trapped my thumb between the freeser door and the upright and it was very painful causing my nail to blacken. This a very bad design

Pros: Every city in the world should have a citizen m hotel. from the personable staff, to the uber modern rooms, complete with personal color choices and free movies/internet, to in-room music and every possbile amenity, this is the best budget hotel in europe and around the world.
Cons: Only that there aren't more citizen m hotels. i can't wait to stay again.
