we stayed just for one night, but the location is excellent if you need to catch an early train or go to the airport, its really near from termini, the breakfast is not included they charge you 5euro, but near there you have several bars to have it or if not go to the supermarket.

The receptionist was extremely welcoming and very helpful! Great location, great rooms and very clean! I would definitely stay at this hotel again the next time I head to Rome! It was only a short walk to the Termini Station.

The hotel offers 24 hour reception. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, providing directions to nearby restaurants, maps etc. The room came with only one flat pillow per person. We were given an extra 2 pillows, but the hotel worker had to get them out of an unbooked room. Since the pillows were so thin, I think two per person should have been standard. The room was cleaned well, and housekeeping staff accomodated our desire to sleep in until almost noon. The room was small but funtional and beds quite comfortable. I would have preferred a mini fridge to keep drinks cold, but we didn't have one. Outdoor noise from the street could be somewhat bothersome, but that's common in these old buildings. The worst part of the room was a slight odor constantly coming from the bathroom. It wasn't too strong, but it did smell slightly of sewage, masked by air freshener. I managed, but those who are very sensitive to smellss may be bothered more. The location is quite good, with several restaurants and pubs close by. There is also a fairly large grocery store at piazza del independenzia, about 5 mins walk away. It is about a 8-10 min walk to fast food places though.

Hotel Continentale is on a back street from the Termini Station, the area appears to be run down, there were alot of tramps and beggers hanging about. The hotel itsel was very basic which is fine if you are just needing a base. There was no tea/coffee facilities in the room but you could get this from reception, unfortunately the reception staff appeared to find this a bit of a hassle to them. We didn't go for the breakfast in the hotel so can't comment on it,. Our room was very small, you had to squeeze past the sink to get sideways into the shower . The shower was hot and powerful once you were in!! The air condition worked, although not very well, it was still very hot during the night.. I would only describe this hotel as very average.

I liked the hotel. Price and services were good. Room was cleaned everyday and I liked the breakfast. Reception helped me a lot. It was a 2-star hotel so prices were good. Thanks for everything!

we arrived to a very rude welcome girl behind desk was very rude rooms very extremly small really glad i was only here 1 night wasnt in a great place holmless hanging around beggers everywere staff very rude rooms tiny bad facilities

The hotel is clean, friendly and lies close to the Terministation. There are restaurants in the neighbourhood. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

Whilst the staff of the Continental Hotel were very pleasant your 'Detailed Room Information', i.e. the windows of the room open to the interior courtyard' were far from correct! In fact the windows opened into the street, two metres away form two very noisy pub/restraunts, some complete with drunken youth, which did not allow me to sleep until midnight! (I have photographs of same) The hotel staff were not aware of your 'detailed room information'. I am not a youngster, and the main purpose of my visit was research in the Vatican Library. At six in the morning, again I was awoken by delivery vans.No doubt you are only interetsed in positive reports - but the above is the truth. Your research into the hotels you recommend is sady lacking.It is doubtful whether I shall use your services again. Yours - home and tiredLeonard Book

Mi experience was good, the hotel is located near the termini (train station) there are some bars and restaurant outside so is noisy at nigth if you get a room oriented to the street. The people of the hotel don't get involved with passengers they only help a little.

Taking into account, the price we are really satisfied. Everything was OK. For example, people are really kind and smilly, and the breakfast was really appreciated. The location near the Termini sation was very interesting (a 5min walk for the shuttle to come from and to go the airport), and both of the subway lines existing in Rome were present at this station.Only two remarks: the room and the bathroom were not very spacious but this was not a problem because we were outside all days long. In addition it seems to us that rooms were not well soundproofed but fortunately the hotel was very calm.

Good location for seeing the Colosseum, The Vatican, Trevi Fountain as they are all within reach using the Termini station. The room I stayed in was small but clean. My only complaint was one girl at the reception wasnt pleasant at all and not really helpful, other than that it was fine. Good price, and near to everything I wanted to go to.

We booked this hotel b/c the price was reasonable and it was not too far from the Central Station, which has a direct train to the airport. However, be aware that all the hotels charge a city tax in addition to the other fees and taxes we had already paid. We weren't told of this beforehand on the website. The staff was very nice. The breakfast was 6 E, which we thought was too expensive, so we put together a breakfast in our room...which was much healthier (the Italian hotel breakfasts seem to feature cookies and cakes and other desserts). The room was tiny, but had a bathroom. There was noise on the street, but my earplugs took care of that.

The hotel located in a centre of Rome (we didn't even use public transport,we just walked).A shuttle (bus) from airport Fuimucino dropped us to the Termine station (it's a train staion as well), which is 15 mins away from the hotel (walking).And at the same place we took bus on the way back to the airport.So the first big plus of this hotel is definitely location!!!More over hotel is really clean,u have evrth u need there for a cheap price.Though a bathroom was a little bit small,but very tidy and perfectly clean!To sum up our experience in the hotel,I would strongly recommend it to others!!!

Cons: Room heating was not satisfactory at times.

Pros: For the money, the hotel was in a very good location. i was looking for a clean bed and shower near the city centre & all for a good price. hotel continentale met all my requirements
Cons: Shower was a little small but to be expected. fortunately i'm not a very large person :)

Pros: Clean and quiet. location was excellent to eateries and trains.

Pros: Really friendly staff, english and spanish speakers as well as italian.. great room, with very good shower, desk, closet, chair.. far better than i expected.. always clean! good breakfast! pretty close to a metro station, and lots of good restaurants.. book it!
Cons: Nothing to complain about!
