Hotel Alloggio Del Conte Naples  

Firstly, if you're going to Naples you should already know, or have been told, that it's quite dirty and there's a lot of poverty. Once you're over that you can relax and enjoy it. This hotel is right in the heart of one of the little residential streets, there are markets nearby, it's walking distance to the University area where we found live music and a good atmosphere in the evening. Also walking distance into the old town for a wander around the churches and the shops, and there are nice little bars around there for a drink in the evening.Plus, the hotel is round the corner from one of the main central stations, so you can nip into Herculaneum/Pompeii for a few euros. And beat the crowds who get on at the next stop! PLUS the hotel is clean and I had a really comfortable sleep; we shared a twin room with an ensuite. Bathroom was basic, but served it's purpose! It was clean, everything was fully attached and the water was hot! Very happy with the hotel! And the owner is a lovely lady, very friendly with a good sense of humour. Recommended.
