Pros: None
Cons: Upon arrival we asked the reception for the parking they shown us parking opposite the hotel . we therfore believed it was hotel parking and explained we had to be gone for 4.30 am.when we woke up we were amazed the car park was locked we then asked the night porter why was there parking locked he said it has nothing to do with the hotel and couldnt understand why the receptionist had directed us there when the hotel has its own private parking. the hotel manager then was blaming us because it is nothing to do with them.the car park man arrived at7.30.we left and had no choice but to drive from rome to england do not book this hotel

Cons: Breakfast - poor, plates & dishes were chipped. there was no price list for mini bar in bedroom, nor were there any bathrobes or slippers.

Pros: Hotel staff always happy to go out of their way to help, especially reception staff. cleaners were fantastic, even tidying up washing bottles on the side of the sink.

Pros: Close to the open top bus tour stop. lots of lovely shops around and a fab indoor market with great fresh fruit and veg

Cons: Boiler was broken when we arrived and were not informed until after check in - took 2 1/2 days to fix and get hot water!

Cons: Service at the hotel and the head office was and is totally unsatisfactory i would not book again - we (the whole hotel)had no hot water for 3 days of our 4 day stay - had to have freezing cold showers & washes. complained to the reception staff - they just shrugged their shoulders (a 4 star hotel could not get a plumber out on the weekend!)- still had to pay full price of 425 euros did not even get a complimentary drink!!!- have been trying to get some response from aurum hotels - have written 10 emails and telephoned numerous times but 1 month later still no response. this is not a good hotel for customer service!
