Cons: We thought we had an en suite, but this was not the case. it was not clear during the booking process. our room was very small.

Cons: We had a middle class room, no idea how the other rooms are.
it feels like the rooms are a bit "spartanic art", concrete floors and our room had the toilet in the middle of the room,(that is nice to know in advance depence you are travelling with) we discovered later there was a sliding door you could put between walls but still!
Cons: Some of the rooms are in a basement with all kinds if piping hanging from the low ceiling. our friends room was a narrow corridor with a bed squessed on the end. not what the pictured showed. luckily we were able to get them moved or we would have gone to another hotel.
Cons: Old, dirty rooms, shared bathroom; you get what you pay for, i suppose, considering prices of rooms in ams.
Cons: On arrival the hotel did not have my booking on their system and then tried to get me to pay double as they only had 4-star rooms left. it took an hour to get them to honour the price i agreed to on the web site, not good after hours of travelling.

Lloyd Hotel Amsterdam is the first in the world with rooms available in 1 to 5 star ratings. They differ in size and interior, but are all equipped with super comfortable beds with feather quilts. Amsterdam Hotel Lloyd furthermore has views over the water and a huge South-facing terrace, a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner until late, a well-stocked library of art books, and various cultural facilities that are free to use for both guests and locals.
The hotel’s Cultural Embassy offers various services in communal spaces. Situated above the restaurant, the Cultural Embassy informs guests and interested parties on topics such as art, culture and cultural projects. The Cultural Embassy has a member list of established cultural groups and organizations and mediates in bringing guests, members and cultural organizations together. In conjunction with the Lloyd Hotel the Cultural Embassy and its members organize projects and cultural activities: performances, small exhibitions and presentations.

This Twin Room with a Shared Bathroom has been restored with love and devotion, ensuring that the original wood panelling and tiles could be maintained. Christoph Seyferth designed the furniture for these rooms, including the Lloyd Table. All these rooms overlook the Docklands. A bathrobe is provided for the tiny walk to the bathroom.

You can sleep in a bed with room for eight, or practice scales on a concert grand. One thing is for sure: you will never forget this room.
