Hotel a bit shabby at entrance and stairs but room clean and Hotel in an excellent position for sight-seeing. didn't have breakfast but it looked OK. Need a good street map to find.

I've stayed here several times because the location is so perfect in the lovely Abbesses part of Montmartre - the best area of Paris in which to be based in my opinion, with some of the best local cafes and bakeries right there on your doorstep. Unfortunately the rooms are rather basic, though clean, and the walls reasonably thin if you have talkative guests in the room next door. But as long as you're okay with having to carry your case up the spiral staircase, then I'd recommend this hotel as a brilliant base for staying in Paris on a budget.

Overall this was a good place to stay, checking in was easy and quick, breakfast was good and served with a smile. The only problems were that they were halfway through redecorating so the stairways were dusty and the walls stank of new paint. Obviously this won't be a problem for the future. The other thing is it is a very noisy area so sleep took a while to come.

I found the hotel very well located, but no elevator no toilet in the room and the one available very poor quality.Owner not so rude but not the most gentile.Price not so high for Paris.Anyway in the period that i was there were works for restructuration and i think something will change in a positive way

Pros: The room was very clean, and the toilets were as clean as shared toilets can be.
Cons: The rooms seem to have very poor isolation, since you could hear when people were talking in their rooms or walking in the corridors.
the toilets have doors with windows which, even though faded (so they don't allow others to see inside), are nevertheless a bit intimidating.
i am not sure whether i would pay for my breakfast again, since it is not particularly filling.

Pros: Good location
Cons: The price is €20 per night more expensive than in the guide book and the level of amenities was very low for € 85. our friends stayed in proper hotels for the same price in the same area with ensuite and hajrdryers etc. the hotel was clean but only one towel was given to us and we were told that there were no more available. i would not pay this rate again, the property is more accurately described as a hostel and the description of bathroom facilities is quite loose. if the rate was around € 50 per night i may go back.

Pros: The location is very good and the price is right. this is a budget hotel with a simple shower for everyone and a nice bed for you to crash. don't expect anything else. but then again this is a hotel with a very good price in a very good location in paris, so you know what you are getting. i would recommend, the price is good, the room was clean and quiet, the location was very good.
Cons: Nothing too bad. service could be a little more friendly though, but nothing major. overall i recommend the hotel.

Pros: While the hotel is basic and old, it is clean. because of its position, we did not need any facilities bar a bedroom and shower which we got. we left early in the morning and got back late at night.

Pros: Location was great.right in the hub of village life.and price wise pretty good,but it was basic
Cons: Although first impressions it appeared a bit of a dump, the place did grow on you.and i liked the family who ran it funny shower stuck in the corner of room with dangling shower head.
central light not functioning, one bed side light in operable,only found the extention lead when checking under the bed when leaving.,pathetic bar of soap , well i think it was soap got used to the flight of stairs ,architecturally fine,however on one section there was a sheet covering the carpet did not discover why. the loo one on each floor i could just about fit in ( mind you i am a fat b-------d.
