there was a lift ıt was engaged from 5 pm to morning ,nice room,perfect buffet breakfast ,good locatıon,poor voice isolation to next rooms ,awful stairs (every where in amsterdam) ,dangerıus handrail (some rods are not connected the wall) finally ı loved thıs hotel

 "For the unfussy budget traveller"
The Jupiter Hotel is a decent place in terms of value for money: certainly well located near the Leidseplein, Museumsplein and Jordaan, has free Wi-fi Internet connection and buffet breakfast. But the decor is really quite ugly (kitsch, and not in the good way) and with many things in a state of disrepair, which reflects negatively on the general atmosphere. I had the basic single room with shared facilities (a tiny toilet with a shower), which suits my frugal habits and shoestring budget, but is not ideal if you're looking for a cosy/fun/romantic place.

 "Great Hospitality"
I really enjoyed my stay at the Jupiter Hotel. For a walker it was just on the outskirts of the central area so easily explored. For those who need transportation, the city card allows access to trams and buses nearby. Breakfast was very good each morning. The street was quiet at night. I would recommend this hotel.

Me and my other half stayed here and it was lovely! The rooms were cosy and clean and the local district Leidesplein was only a few minutes bike ride away. Would recommend anyone to stay here.

The location is a main feature, with only a 5 min Walk to Vondelpark or Leidseplein. A good breakfast,and the manager was very helpful. Room clean if verysmall, but it us Amsterdam, and the value was good

 "Not bad for a few days…"
The hotel is not bad if you are planning to stay just a couple of days. Rooms are quite tiny. I was in the single room with share bathroom and I have not problems at all. They manage to keep the bathroom clean at all times. My room was clean by the staff every day. They provided me with towels, rob and sleepers. The location is not bad, the hotel is at walking distance to everywhere in a quiet and nice area. The people in charge of the hotel are not very friendly, but the rest of the staff was very helpful and kind. A plus… Breakfast was good!

 "Unpleasant welcome."
The hotel was generally satisfactory, but great was my surprise when, having arrived at a 3 star hotel which was booked using credit card details, the receptionist demanded payment before I had even signed in. This seems more than a little impertinent and, when added to the receptionist's brusque manner, was not the kind of welcome I am used to in Amsterdam hotels.This aside, the hotel suited my needs well, although the room was tiny and lacked storage space for clothes.

Cons: The only down fall was the lift size.. but it was better than no lift!

Pros: The jupiter had warm welcoming staff,especially mr jay at reception.the breakfast was basic but there was plenty to eat.the room was clean and beds comfortable.the location though not central was on a street that was in walking distance of all usual attractions and very close to vongel park and museums.nice quiet street suitable for more mature people or families.
Cons: Very steep stairs .....but there was a small lift.dont attempt the stairs if you have been drinking !!
