Hotel Soggiorno Blu Rome  

Sadly disappointed during the 3-day residencies.First Booking online was 89 euro I paid with a credit card.We got there, he asked for 113 euro guarantee saying, because they do not see the online booking but the amount of EUR 113 day visszakapjuk.Nemkaptuk still not back. 12 euros for 2 people said tax 3 night ... it is included in the reservation to 2 euros per room and not per person ... so ... betrayed another 6 euros .. the hotel is dirty and the staff is not correct.

Cons: When i arrived in the evening no one was at the reception so i had to ring the bell persistently only to be told that i had to wait as the receptionist was managing another hotel. in addition i had no idea i was staying in another hotel and not the one i booked. my room was next to the reception so very noisy and the first night there was a horrible smell coming out the bathroom. there was also a pipe which was coming out of the wall. the room was cold too as the heating appeared to be on but not very hot. i spoke to the staff and she managed to sort out the smell by putting some bleach, it got bit better. i was glad to only have spent 2 nights there as i went to spend my last night in rome somewhere more comfortable. i do not think i will return there nor will i recommend it. the advert is misleading about the hotel is misleading. you should inform your guests that they will be accommodated in the next door hotel and also someone must be there at reception to receive guests particularly when one arrives from abroad.

Pros: It is very confortable for those who want to have wonderful accomodation in rome,especially it is near by termini and metro station and also public transportaion.

Cons: The reception girl is not kind and didn't know how to respect!

Pros: We managed to be put in a different hotel after being bitten by bedbugs!
Cons: Bedbugs,bedbugs!! its unacceptable to find bedbugs in a 2star hotel, was bitten all over my body!! a week later still have scars....i strongly believe that the owner of this hotel knew about it, but nothing was done.what a shame! also the bathroom walls were covered in mold. we've been asked to pay upfront by cash because their credit card machine didnt work. the room we'd been put in after complaining in planet hotel was much better, and met our expectations. we do not recommend the soggiorno blu hotel to anybody.

Pros: The hotel is in a great location.
Cons: It felt like the staff was never around when you needed them. it was 4 of us in one room with only 2 towels, and when asking them to given us more i felt like the cleaning lady(receptionist) was rude and didn't want to give us fresh towels. i would not stay in this hotel again but the location was great.

Pros: Hotel location is good,easy to reach the center of rome and go to termini
Cons: No

Pros: It was convenient to the train station. the restaurant next door was excellent.
Cons: The bed spring was noisy. there was no light above the mirror in the bathroom.

Pros: Location very good for the bus and train station and plenty of places to eat in the evening.
Cons: Breakfast was a very disappointing experience as we had to stand in the local coffee bar for a sweet cake and coffee and that was breakfast!

Pros: It was cheap and in a good location which is what i was looking for
Cons: Economic should not reflect poor service and being asked to pay cash on arrival abruptly was off putting to start with but i had read on trip advisor this would happen, despite the hotel advertising they take cards. when the receptionist put my card through, i later found out since arriving home that it was to test the card and they deducted the price of the room and then added it back on however with the difference in exchange rates i am now £22 down. i have been assured by the hotel manager this will be put back onto my account within the next 15 days but the correspondence i have had from him, fabio alvisini, is the most arrogant, rude and abrasive i have ever come across. to treat your customers in the manner he has is quite unbelievable, i am flabbergasted! i would not recommend this hotel to anybody as the treatment of their customers is absolutely despicable. the hotel was clean enough but being on my honeymoon i wanted a double bed and got two single beds pushed together! we had to ask for clean towels after two days use also.

Pros: On our arrival it was not a positive experience at all. an old worn out hotel. we were received by one of the chambermaids who saw to our check in. i refused to pay before i was shown the room and thank god i did so as i had to be shown three rooms till i got what i was promised on the hotel internet site. i was expected to pay a night's stay if i refused to take up the room i was being offered. it is unjust to show one thing on the internet and then offer another when you are physically there. i felt cheated and abused. the third room was round the corner on via marsala and not at the soggiorno blu. for breakfast we had to go to a bar round the corner and were allowed one croissant and a coffee and obviously standing up. thank god the third room we were offered was up to our expectation. i would give it more then a second thought to return or even recommend this hotel unless they do not uprade all their rooms similar to the one we were offered after much protest.

Pros: We didn't stay at soggiorno blu because as soon as we arrived we were told that we would be staying at hotel planet, which is only one street away. apparentely, these two hotels are of the same company. i think that the location of hotel planet was better and the atmosphere was more welcoming. rooms were very very clean. staff was helpful. clean linen.
Cons: As they don't have a restaurant at the hotel, for breakfast they gave us a ticket at the reception every morning and we had to cross the road and go to a bar where we were offered only a coffee/cappuchino and and croissant.

Cons: I've noticed later in my credit card that they charged 66 extra euros

Pros: It takes a minute or two to walk to hotel blu from the termini train station, maybe 5 minutes if you have lots of luggage and it's your first time there. getting to the main sites of rome from the hotel were pretty easy too. location = a+
the room and bathroom were basic and super clean.
Cons: The last day there, the water was freezing cold.
no wireless internet, eventhough they said they would have it.
breakfast was around the corner at a bar-cafe. the coffee was great and so were the breakfast pastries, but if you're healthy, you probably would not like this breakfast. it was pretty cramped and busy in there too, but the workers were friendly.
beds are not comfortable. they felt like cots so if you have back problems, sleep somewhere else.
no one was ever at the desk. i always had to ring the bell if i had a question.

Pros: Booked into hotel soggiorno blu for 4 people in 2 rooms.on arrival was told that they had over booked and we would be moved to another hotel that was round the corner.we went to the other hotel "hotel planet"and was informed that we would all be in 1 room for that night and then would be moved to 2 seperate rooms for the 2nd night.we were not pleased about this as they would only reduce the price by 5euros each.they also demanded we pay for the whole of our stay up front saying that if we didnt then they would take it out of my credit card,of which they had the details of from the original booking.we were given new rooms for the 2nd night and they were ok. the breakfast however was a different matter. we were told to go to a small cafe on the corner of our road and were given a ticket from the hotel marked up for 4 breakfasts which consisted of 1 croissant and 1 cup of coffee which was very disappointing
