For 2 women on their own this was ideal. Ballsbridge is a nice area to the south of Dublin city centre. We had a large, clean, quiet twin room. Breakfasts were substantial and set us up for the day. These are served until 10.30am. Regular buses stop outside the hotel but we walked into the city twice...... an easy flat 2 mile stroll. Would recommend walking in and bus-ing back. Note that buses require coins and don't give change. Change is easily got from the hotel reception. Airbus from the airport stops right outside the hotel gate. For a good hotel that doesn't cost the earth this is perfect.

Location of hotel and appearance excellent. Bedroom good size but far to warm even with rad turned off. We were up an down all night. Opened window and had a loud noise like a motor/generator/fridge non stop. There was only one toilet roll in bathroom and it took 20 to get a another when requested the next morning. Staff very nice.

Cons: When i booked the hotel i requested a family room with a sofa bed and non smoking, but when i arrived we were put in a small smelly smoking roong then i had to pay €10 extra to change itvery bad service never going back there.

Pros: Had a great experience in bewley's ballsbridge. the staff were very helpful, the rooms was spacious and very clean. the beds had duvets and were very comfortable. the hotel also had a great coffee/snack bar. when we returned after midnight we were able to buy pizza, which was so tasty. toasted sandwiches and other food was on offer. i will definitely stay here again!

Pros: Generally pleased with hotel although friends of ours stayed in another hotel which was just as comfortabel but better value by over 50%

Pros: Very polite and friendly waiting staff; good food; no rush to move us away from our table after the meal
Cons: Dreadful music! we asked several times for it to be turned down and to change the tape. it made conversation almost impossible and florence the machine - as my youngsters confirmed - is highly inappropriate for background music. even the youngsters were horrified to hear it being belted out all through the hotel, especially when it was competing with music/tv from the bar. all the staff i spoke to about it said it was centralised and there was "nothing they could do"> that needs to be changed. that would be one thing that would put me off coming back to your hotel.
also very sparse bathroom toiletries. the one time i count on a shower cap or two and there is none.

Pros: Excellent service all round. location - residential area, yet very central. very safe. hotel quiet and respectable - i think ideal for business travellers, couples and mature travellers. definitely i will stay there again.
