Park Savoy Hotel New York  

Just wanted a couple of days in Manhattan to enjoy the sites- The xmas markets and trees and decorations. This hotel is in a great location. My room was very small but it was clean and comfortable. Hot shower and can't beat the price. I would stay here again.

i really enjoyed the stay, my room was very quiet.i liked the voucher for the bar nextdoorsi also enjoyed the bagel and coffee for breakfast at the pizzz place next to it.the location is perfectat night, until 7am, i could even park my car right in front of the hotel

1.)First we have been charged for additional tax and fees (almost 200 dollars more than expected! - so the price wasnt the cheapest I could find2.)continental breakfast is ONE beagle OR one muffin and 1 coffee OR 1 tea3.)the breakfast restaurant was quite small, the service rude4.)The rooms werent nice: view on other buildings! 5.)the window has been damaged and couldnt be opened correctly6.)there was no warm water the first night7.)the water pressure was aweful8.)the room service skipped us at least 2 during the week9.)there were no blanket to sleep beside a horse cover or daily blanket10.)the pillows werent nice either 11.)the door was not massive and you could hear each noise from the other rooms (and i mean EACH noise!!!)12.) the re-booked our room (maybe to a smaller one?)13.) the elevator takes a life-time and was tooo smallto sum it up:the hotel was in a nice location, the only plus i could findi wouldnt book this hotel again!

Close to Central Park , Times Square , 5th avenue and subway system. Rooms were small but clean with private toilet and shower., but no view. Very noisy : construction work beginning at 7 am. Staff not very friendly and very slow elevator.Regarding the price paid and the location, we think the hotel is good value for tourists who want to visit NYC.

I stayed only one night after my other accommodation became unavailable for my final night in the city. I needed somewhere ideally in midtown, inexpensive but clean/not share accommodation. This fitted the bill. The location is excellent - a very easy walk uptown to Central Park and downtown to Times Square. Most of Broadway falls into that area, so if you're visiting NYC briefly and doing mostly tourist-y things, this location would be great.The only negatives from my stay were:- The elevator (mentioned by many) which didn't appear when I was trying to leave and resulted in a walk up to the sixth floor to collect luggage (thankfully the elevator did show up before we had to carry both my 50lb bags down!) I am not averse to stairs in general, but had more than 20 hours of travel ahead of me, so working up a sweat was really not desirable.- The room had very few power sockets.- I asked for a cab to be called for the airport (JFK), expecting a yellow taxi. However, the hotel has an arrangement with a more expensive private car company. When I advised I'd pay by credit card, I was told there was an additional $10 fee, meaning that the trip to JFK would be $65 + $10 + tip. Ridiculous. I pulled my luggage out of the cab and the panicky driver managed to arrange for the $10 fee to be waived, but I caution people about getting the hotel to call a cab on their behalf. You're on 58th St near Broadway and there are always yellow cabs going past (and they have a flat fee to JFK) so I suggest just hailing a cab if you're travelling to JFK.The above were overall minor points and it is good value for money, especially in a city like NYC. So I rate this hotel as very good and would stay there again if I needed a good place in midtown.

Tiny rooms, but clean and the location of the hotel was perfect.breakfast was not great but you could not complain based on what we were paying.would definitely go back

excellent location. very clean. very small room but adequate for a single with no expectations for frills. Big problem: there is a construction site right behind your room's wall! the screeching noise starts at 0630 a.m. After some insistence, I was switched to an upgraded room (terrific!) facing the street, where the noise level reasonable. When construction ends, this will be an excellent place to stay at. As is, it was very reasonable for a person who came to spend her time enjoying the outdoors of Manhattan, and for the cost.

My original stay here for 3days was cut down into 1. I didn't feel safe at this hotel.. The room door only had one lock that could be opened by anyone if their own keys.The rooms were fair. But the bed felt like there were bed bugs in it (please check before you take the room) not to mention the elevators that took at least 15mins to get to your floor. You are better off going 6flrs up or down the stairs if you need to get something quick. I also do nit recommend you staying there in winter as their hot water goes on and off in the middle of your shower. Overall, I think $140 is borderline pricey for this hotel's features, you're really paying for the location for this place.

The location is great, you can go by foot at central park and times square and Moma and all museums at upper side. The hotel has very small rooms, but clean and with toilet inside. If you need only a place to sleep and you spend a lot of time outside the hotel, it's a good solution

The Park Savoy is pretty basic. The room is small but functional; the same is true for the bathroom. What it lacks in charm and character it makes up for in price and location.

The hotel was very clean and cheap.The A/C works fine in hot weather (40 C). The staff is nice.Great Location!

The total price communicated to me by easytobook.com was $115. But when I arrived the guy in the reception told me to pay $135. After I argued, he agreed to $125 if I pay in cash. The room is very small. The radiator makes noise. The bed is tiny for two persons. Internet is not free. I understand it is New York and you can not find better for this price, but anyway after my experience I would prefer to pay $200 for better place. If you travel alone and you don't look for comfort, th is not that bad just to sleep. But overall I would not go there again. Pluses - locationMinuses - small room, charging than communicated.

This hotel was is an amazing location. The rooms were small but thy were for the sole purpose of sleeping. Elevator a little creepy. If youre a picky person i wouldnt recomend it. For the most part it was great for what it was. I would 100% stay there again. Just make sure you pull the bed away from the wall, the washboard makes noise if you move in your sleep :)

I reserved a room via easybook.com, and in the reservation I had the total price $196 for two nights (including a welcome drink, OMG). When I came to the hotel, the employee asked me to pay $270. I showed him the email from easybooking with lower price, but he answered that the higher price is a result of tax. Taxes are way over the top in NYC, aren't they?As a result, I paid $230 for two night because I was to tired to keep arguing. So be careful and have your reservation confirmation in readiness.As to other things, the location of the hotel is fantastic, especially for my first price. The room was clean but small and noisy. And of course I did not get any "welcome drink", but who cares.

Pros: The location was great- walking distance to so many things.
Cons: Did not know we were right above a club, probably why our room was so much less expensive that all the others. but we were so exhausted by the end of the day we slept through most of it :)

Pros: The park savoy is in a fantastic location and is clean and warm.
Cons: Very basic accommodation, room was very small and the window looked straight into another building which blocked any natural light. it was very noisy from 7.00 a.m. because of construction work on the next door building.
