 "Good value for money"
Hotel Del Angel is a no-frills hotel located in the relatively safe neighborhood near the Angel de la Independencia monument in the heart of Mexico City. Our room was basic but clean. There was a portable air conditioner which was rather loud, but did its job of keeping the room cool and dry. Staff at the reception were very attentive and helpful when asked about tours to the Aztec ruins, nearby restaurants, etc. Due to the downtown location, we could hear the traffic noise from our room on the 9th floor, but it wasn't a huge issue. It's easily accessible by subway from the airport -- a 10-15 minute walk from the Insurgentes station on the pink line.
