Venice Resorts

Helpful staff member who met us at bus station as we could not find the hotel where we needed to check in. Hotel was clean and pleasant room. Bathroom was small but ok. Shower need more water flow as any less and could not be described as a shower!

The staff is very nice, the room was small but clean - a perfect place to stay in Venice for people who don't need luxury! The breakfast is in a nice little bar very close to the room and was quite good.

Positives....Beautiful room - also clean, tidy with complementary chocolates...Friendly, helpful staff who go out of their way to make sure you have a good holiday and know about the local area and tourist attractions.The staff at the cafe where breakfast was served we also very friendly... The location of the hotel is perfect for seeing all the attractions and is a nice local area with restaurants, cafes and bars within a 5 minute walk.At checkout we were able to store our luggage until we had to depart from the airport.A couple of negatives which could easily be put right...The only minor down sides were the signage to the Venice Resort - we walked straight past it three times as the only sign on the door is size 11 font. The positive of this was that when we were lost a memeber of staff kindly came out to find us and show us to the hotel and around the local area which was extremely helpful. The only downside to the room was the noise from the street, but then we were staying during the carnival so it was bound to be a bit on the loud side, so we shut the outer shutters whcih seemed to drown out most of the noise.The TV was all in Italian (bar one channel that kept repeating the same shows)... the only reason I mention this is I had to stay in one evening becuase my partner was unwell and I was bored stiff... but generally we would not have watched the TV so it wouldn't have been a problem. The shower was quite small (I'm a size 20 and managed to sqeeze in okay)...There was no guide in the room - how to use the television, who to call in an emergency, about the local area etc.. there were however details about towels and tidy rooms.The breakfast was the exct same thing every day... we only stayed for 3 mornings but would have liked some variation on what was offered.

Pros: Gorgeous hotel, amazing location. the staff was great. met us when we got off the train and walked us to the hotel so we wouldn't get lost. the hotel manager gave us all the good and bad information about venice so we would know what to avoid. i would stay here again.

Pros: Great place to stay beautiful rooms.

Pros: A very comforatble and relaxing place to escape to after the hectic pace of venice island. easily located and in a safe area with plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes and other services close by.
Cons: The breakfast at the cafe down the road was a bit basic but maybe that is standard for venice. i dont know.

Pros: The hotel is located in a quiet area of venice. there are good restaurants nearby, and a large square where all the students gather for chatting over a drink or two (you have to walk 2-3 minutes to get to the square). there are also quite a lot of nice cafe's around the square. when you stay at venice resorts, you'll be given a set of vouchers each day for use in a local cafe so that you can get yourself a breakfast for free. the staff speaks very good english, and is extremely helpful. we had a very nice stay in venice!
i would recommend this hotel to both couples, mature travellers and young singles.
Cons: The maid walked into the room while i was sitting naked on the bed, but i can't really blame anyone else than me for that :-)
