 "great little secret"
This hotel was our oasis of calm amidst the frenetic pace of NYC. The staff was excellent and treated us with a professional friendliness. Admittedly, the hotel was not busy, but I cannot imagine being treated any differently had it have been. The room was so well equipped technologically and best of all, free wifi!!The location of this little jewel was also sublime and within walking distance to Soho, Flatiron and Meatpacking - all fantastic for shopping and eating! Chelsea market is opposite and terrific for a mooch. Should you want to dip into the madness of midtown Manhattan and beyond, the subway was 5 minutes walk away.

 "Good stay at Maritime"
Everything in our room was well designed: light switches within reach; bed, pillows, sheets comfortable; right lighting in room; shower water hot and shower easy to understand; shower curtain actually worked; bath comfortable; shelving right. All this is rare.

 "Visiting Family"
The staff was extremely helpful. Everyone, front desk, bellmen, housekeepers and maintenance staff were friendly and helpful.Room was a little dark probably due to the single window. Layout of room was good given it wasn't a really large room.. I don't like European shower stalls with just the half wall of glass. The shower leaks onto the floor very easily.Love the location. Close to Chelsea Market but especially close to our son's apartment

 "Hotel Maritime --took us by surprise"
athough we'd read the reviews and seen the photos, the Hotel Maritime was a truly nice surprise with tasteful smart decor, Riviera style patio and the round distinctive windows in the room that open with mechanical elegance for fresh air. And are easy to spot on your walk home. In addition, the staff experience was excellent--everyone was willing to help and eager to please. Loved the ship cabin teak and the fabrics in the rooms. Great service from housekeeping and the front desk who stored our bags for us overnight-- and we will l definitely be back!

 "Fab hotel and location"
Great hotel, location is amazing.... Only downside was the heavy price tag... But would go again perhaps midweek to save $$$

 "We arrived at 11"
Pros: We arrived at 11.30 am very tired looking for an early check-in,got checked in right away which was greatly appreciated.the ambiance of the hotel is great,it is spotlessly clean,great shower and excellent wi-fi.add this to the great location and you have a super hotel experience.
