Cons: The beach is a public beach and there are panhandlers in abundance. they are very bothersome and seriously detract from anyone trying to relax on the beach (i.e. everyone who would check into this hotel)
Cons: If you are looking to walk around and do some shopping it may be a few blocks away, it is not located right in the middle of the shopping area.
Cons: On checking i double checked that the cost of the room and was told it was approx us$200 per night not approx us$129 it should have been - i showed the confirmation and noted the pre agreed rate on the hotel records created when i signed in. additionally they tried to charge for the internet despite this being included - also the internet signal was very weak. they then offered one free day of internet use - i again showed them the confirmation and after various nods between the checkin staff was advised that i could have the service included.
the hotel tried to get me to sign a blank credit card form as a deposit - i said i was happy to pay for the room in advance but wouldnt sign a blank credit card form for anyone.
on check out the hotel tried to charge a higher rate than on the confirmation - it took an hour to sort that out.
the hotel staff tried to magic away the over charging on check out by making all sorts of references to currency movements along with some clearly standard lines they had been taught to use which made no sense. when i made them break down down the dollar cost per night and used the current exchange rate we came up with a significantly different total cost to that which they initially applied - matters would have been simpler if the confirmation prices were provided in local currency as that is how they are settled - if i had had a plane to catch i probably wouldnt have had time to deal with this matter. i think there is a general tendency to try to rip off tourists in colombia and unfortunately the hotel dann was no exception - the way the whole check in / out process was done was unpleasant and unnecessary though never rude - it was just a lets try it on and see what we can get routine.
the main beach at cartagena is very narrow and a little to very dirty in places - in one place there was a big dumpster overflowing with rotting rubbish that stank very badly
Cons: The staff is terrible. they tried to charge me more money than the arrenged. they charge you for the use of internet, the internet signal is no good at all adn has specific problems if you use windows 7.

Cons: Your website doesn't say anything about insurance tax and we ended up paying more than what is promised on the website. your website also says this hotel doesn't accept dollars or (only accepts euros) that is incorrect information. the hotel charges more than what is on the website so it should be included in the rate to be clear to customers and also the hotel doesn't say anything about not accepting dollars so don't mislead customers.
