 "great hotel in Barcelona"
A small hotel but rooms were very clean, great shower, safe in room and a fantastic location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They let us keep our suitcases at the hotel after we checked out- mine was there for 9 hours as I had a late evening flight.

 "Hotel Pelayo"
Room was ok, bathroom was super small. Only provided half a roll of toilet tissue and when we asked for more the receptionist didn't give straight away and kept saying there's more in the room and insisted to come into the bathroom to check it himself while my brother was still using the bathroom!

 "VERY GOOD LOCATION IN THE HEART OF DOWNTOWN BARCELONA"
Had to open windows account too hot in the room and no controller to operate the air. cond. and also the thermostat in the room was locked. Since the windows are open, we can hear lots of noise coming from outside. BESIDE THAT WE ENJOY OUR STAY IN THE HOTEL. THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFULL.

The service given was really good, the recepionist helped us each time we asked for assistance. Eventhough it is a 1 star hotel, the room was spacious with a/c and most importantly clean. This hotel is located 5 minutes walk away from Ramlas. I cannot think of sometime bad because I was really happy with the service given.

Hotel was clean, air conditioned, staff friendly and nice and close to the action. For the price, it was perfect. Would stay there again.

The pictures on the site are much better than the actual room. Basically the room had bad bed, the window door does not close well and there are only 3 chairs on the loby.

 "The staff was courteous"
Pros: The staff was courteous.
Cons: They put us in a very small room, which wasn't particularly bad if it weren't for the rank smell of sewage eminating from the bathroom. we told the staff about it and they said they would fix it, however all they did was to open all the windows. the ground floor of the hotel smelled like sewage too, so they have some unresolved plumbing issues.

Pros: Friendly staff, most of whom spoke excellent english. very convenient location just a short walk from the main transport and social heart of the city
Cons: The room was quite small but it had all that i needed. only other complaint was that the tv was tiny and i had problems getting tuning into more than one channel!

Cons: Breakfast was a vending machine drink (all contained sugar) and a pre-wrapped cake. the bathroom had neither a window nor an extraction fan
