Hesperia Ramblas Barcelona    

Nice hotel, a bit noisy outside if you let the window open, and we had to because it was hot inside. Seemed like the airconditioner didnt work! Nice staff and great location! Great bed and clean rooms.

Booked 2 rooms online, having checked reviews on Trip Advisor and wasn't disappointed. Excellent location, just off La Rambla & next to La Boqueria market. Good security, very helpful, friendly staff. Rooms spotless, bright, generously sized & comfortable with excellent ensuite facilities & fantastic showers ! Our rooms overlooked street so could have been noisy but good double glazing solved that problem. Would thoroughly recommend for ease of access to sights, restaurants etc.

Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were helpfull with giving directions and the location was great for us. Close to a metro station, La Rambla (the main strip), Placa de Catalanya, and a short walk to the Historical Quater. I would happily stay here again!

Hotel just what was needed, secure entrance, very friendly staff , toiletries provided even toothbrushes and toothpaste; hotel right in the heart of the city. we loved it and will be back again staying at the same hotel x

We have been to barcelona a few times now was our first stay at the hesperia rambles . was very very good .good value for money location was perfect very quite hotel . we are already planning to return . stayed 08th nov - 11th nov weather was really lovely a lot warmer than we expected . had a really lovely weekend .

We stayed at the hotel from a Thursday to a Monday. in October. The room was okay, clean and big enough. The bed was a bit hard, but huge. Bathroom okay. The room had had a minibar and a safe, and it was cleaned every day.Negative: When paying for the stay, it ended up more expensive then easybook.com confirmed in advance. (around 45euros).We had breakfast at the hotel one morning, it was really worth the money. The hotel is sites right around the corner from Bougeria (food marked), and not in the Gotic quarter as stated. But it only took 2 minutes to walk to the old city from the hotel.

Great location, friendly and smiley staff always happy to help. Room was very nicely decorated and quite spacious. Absolutely loved it. Next time I go to Barcelona going to stay there. The only negative thing i would say is i didn't find their beds very comfortable but again it is great location, clean, very well decorated, good size bathroom, good breakfast and friendly staff.

My recent trip to Barcelona was also my first so I spent a lot of time reading about the city to determine the best spot to stay. For me the most important asset of a hotel is the position and Hesperia Ramblas cannot be faulted for this. A very short stroll from La Rambla but far enough away that the incessant throng of people ambling up and down this boulevard does not bother you. Close to Licieu metro for transport; a manageable walk to the beach and a short stroll to the Gothic area. The lane at the side of the property leads directly into the Boqueria market where we bought our breakfast every day.A new restaurant had opened across the street so we patronised it as after a full day of Gaudi sightseeing we were exhausted and did not feel like battling the crowds on La Rambla for dining space. Our food was great and the bill very reasonable.But I digress! Back to Hesperia. The reviews from TA seemed favourable and this is probably the reason I ended up booking here. The rooms were not large and the bathroom difficult for two people to be in at the same time but the water pressure in the very large shower was great. The room here was very clean and the lady servicing our room daily was fantastic. When I booked I did request a high quiet floor but upon check in we were given a room on the first floor which overlooked Calle Hospital. When I asked if they had anything else available there was a very blunt "no" from the desk clerk and I found him unfriendly and dismissive. Even with the double glazed windows the street noise was audible but really not too bad as I always pack ear plugs so it didn't bother me that much. Free WiFi is available but you have to keep signing in each time you turn off your phone or i-pad which is quite annoying.Hesperia was the second of three hotels we stayed at in Spain and after coming from the Fontecruz Hotel in Seville the Hesperia was a bit of a let-down. This is not to say it was awful it's just that our previous hotel was fantastic and heaps cheaper and I couldn't help comparing. However I would recommend a short stay in this hotel due mainly to its position and facilities especially if like me you are new to Barcelona.

We stayed for 5 nights - the hotel is realy close to Ramblas.Bathroom could be in better shape for a 3 year old hotel.Very good value for price

We were disappointed to see that we paid much more about euro35/night When we checked in and saw the daily rate displayed at the reception. And still we got a room with a terrible view. But since we won't be in the hotel most part of the day it didn't really matter. But we kept our curtains drawn closed whenever we were in the room. Next point is not related to the hotel. Just a warning to travelers to be VERY careful with their belongings the minute they step into BCN airport. We lost one of our bags on the aerobus from airport to hotel. When making a police report at the station we saw so many similar "casualties". Sad for such a beautiful city.

Perfect location right of Las Ramblas. Hotel is clean, bed's comfortable and staff is very pleasant and helpful. Second time we've stayed there and would recommend.

The location is perfect og the room is nice. The bed was hard and therefore we didn`´t sleep very well. The shower lacked of "power" and was not satisfying.

We stayed at Hesperia Ramblas for two nights. The hotel was easy to find, in a great location just off La Rambla. The rooms were spacious and clean. Our room overlooked the side street so we didn't have any street noise. Very comfortable stay and good value for the money. No complaints and we'd stay there again!

Excellent location, 50yds from Las Ramblas and Liceu Metro station. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms were quite small but very clean with TV and Fridge, large bathroom with excellent shower. We had read many reviews warning of pick-pockets but we never felt threatened or concerned, nor did we witness any problems - even though we were out at all times of day / night. Our room was on the top (5th) floor at the rear of the hotel and whilst it was possible to hear the odd sound from the La Boqueria market setting up in the morning (8am ish..?), it was hardly noticable. Highly recommend this hotel.

This is the second time we have stayed here. It is a small, but good hotel. In an excellent position, a few steps from Las Ramblas. The breakfast was excellent and the staff all very professional and helpful. We would stay there again.
