Rex Petit Stockholm  

An excellent & stylish hotel. The basement rooms where I stayed were a little cramped, but were blissfully quiet for the middle of a city. The staff were very friendly & helpful. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

I book Rex Petit after a web-seach for hotels in Stockholm. I needed a cheap, somewhat centrale room for two for the jubilee-marathon on 14th og july 2012.Online booking was easy and we had 3 days/2 night at the hotel. Friendly and multi-linguale personal, nice and clean interieur and large breakfast-buffet. I recommend Rex Petit highly.

Pros: - the buffet breakfast was fantastic and had a very large range.
- the hotel staff were friendly.
- the metro stop is an easy 3 minute walk from the hotel.
Cons: - the room at this hotel is tiny. like, seriously tiny. picture the smallest hotel room you've ever seen, halve it, and this room will almost meet that size. there's room to realistically fit just one piece of luggage; anything more will be a struggle. (note however that this building is separated into this hotel in the basement and a sister hotel upstairs, which may have bigger rooms)
- we visited in late december- the temperatures outside were below freezing but the room felt like a sauna. there is no way to adjust room temperature, and there are no windows in the room.

Cons: Poor breakfast

Pros: Very well fitted out hotel, great staff and very clean
Cons: Not so much negative as an omission in the description - rooms are very small (like a ship cabin). although this isn't a problem, you should probably mention it at booking time!

Pros: Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. the free broadband internet connection is a very positive point.
Cons: Asked for a specific room when i booked but when we arrived the this room was already given. the rooms downstairs (no lift) are really really small, you don't have to be claustrophobic.

Pros: Given that the room was not what we expected, i have to say that the bed was comfortable, the facilities perfectly adequate, if rather cramped, and that there was excellent air-conditioning.
Cons: I am afrad that we were not informed beforehand that we would be sleeping in a room comparable in size to a two-berth interior cabin on a ferry boat. had we been of the more conventional type of elderly traveller, with bulky suitcases and mobility problems, this would have been entirely unsuitable.

Cons: Very smal rooms.

Pros: Very good location 15 minutes from sergels torg. staff was very kindly. good breakfast.
Cons: The room eas very small.

Pros: Clean room, quiet and dark; got truly a good night's sleep. good breakfast, good location.
Cons: Our room was underground so no windows. airconditioning was good but naturally air was dry and after three nights you kinda start to wish for the window. but all in all, worth the money and very good for a long weekend stay.

Cons: Too small

Pros: The rex petite is the converted basement of the 3star rex hotel (hence no windows) and as such has funishings and finishes to a high standard and was even better than expected. clean, friendly, comfortable, value for money and central.
Cons: The lack of a window may not suit anyone prone to clausrophobia
