 "for the size of room it was too expensive."
good location to amenities,staff were friendly.we were disappointed with breakfast not been included in the price.was clean and tidy.room was small but convenient for the two night's we stayed.bar prices we found were a bit expensive.

We paid for a superior room. It was a tasteless joke. The room was very small. Very restricted movement. The shower is ridiculously small and a big person would not be able to use the toilet. I wish the management would try it for themselves.I would have liked to see a standard room!!Dr A Rahman

It's been terrible. I've spent much money to stay here, and the quality is terrible.people, rooms, prices, and everything. I suggest everybody to no go there .So sad for my experience of the new years event.

 "Excellent location"
Grand Royale is a fantastic location for central London and surrounds. We visited during the Olympics so it served as a perfect location for access to the games and the city centre. 2 mins walk from the nearest tube, it was perfectly located. The rooms are small but use space very efficiently. We did not utilise much of the other services and chose to eat outside the hotel so cannot comment on that. Staff are very friendly.

We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Royale London Hyde Park. We booked a double deluxe room. The room was smaller than expected, but it was very clean. The breakfast was buffet style & there was a large selection of food to choose from. The staff were slow to respond to our requests for the additional items we needed.

 "Few little pointers"
All been refurbished and rooms are lovely, however the persons responsible for chosing the shower screen ought to be sacked as it's breadth is at least 3 times SHORTER than is necessary to save water all over the floor. A sign near reception area on the wall would be helpful to find toilets! All staff helpful and hotel right next to Queensway underground wasgreat.

 "Smallest room I have ever stayed in"
It is a same they were allowed to partition and disfigure such a beautiful building. Don't ever get the breakfast. It is better to starve.The only consolation is the cost, which frees up cash one may spend elsewhere.Cheers.

 "History has advantages and disadvantages!"
A beautiful and historically fascinating place, with very friendly and helpful staff and wonderful breakfast. Unfortunately we picked the coldest night of the year to sleep next to the draughtiest window in London - history at a price! Our club room was small but had nice extra touches. Will try here again.

Pros: Location was fantastic!!!! hotel was nice, good breakfast! good hotel overall and if i found the same prices again i would stay there.
Cons: We stayed in a clubroom but it was tiny. a little claustrophobic. but the bathroom was actually very decent size! and the nice furnishings make up for the small size.

Pros: Good location to two tube stations..reception and housekeeping good
Cons: From the broken front door to the dirty floors in reception and the lounge..the brochure depicts it as "victorian ellagance" with large flower arrangements etc...i would like the ceo of the group to visit with a brochure in his hands. no bar, only a temporary one in a empty room, and my bedroom was about 9 square metres in size.the shower glass was so small when you had a shower the whole bathroom was soaked..overall i would go as far as to say, blatant false advertising.

 "In a quiet area,just off a tube station"
Pros: In a quiet area,just off a tube station. the dark wood and black leather chairs gives a feeling of warmth an welcome to an old residence.

Cons: Club twin rooms are very small w could barely move, the elevator was out of order most of the time. should bring your own adaptor as they have very few.

 "Breakfast was good and the hotel room was clean"
Pros: Breakfast was good and the hotel room was clean.
Cons: We had reserved 2 rooms, but when we arrived only 1 room was available. after discussions whick took 1 hour, we suddendly could get the other room as it was reserved. most of the personnel are not native english which presented some problems during the check in. the shower is really small-sized even for tiny people. the shower curtain is tangled around when you move your arms, unpleasant.

Pros: The bed was very comfy.
Cons: The staff didnt know anything about london. no matter what drink you ordered they didnt have it in the bar, even a bacardy and coke they didnt have the bacardy.
the room was so small there wasnt room for your suitcase. no chair in the room. the windows couldnt close.
