Cons: Was waiting about 10 minutes to be let into the hotel. ouside picture on website was different which made it a little bit hard to locate.

The breakfast was great

Located off Upper O'Connell Street in the centre of town, the Gate Hotel in Dublin provides a more than comfy place to stay and is ideal for European city breaks in the Irish capital. Popular with the budget traveller due to its competitive rates, the Gate Hotel is an excellent base for exploring the city as you can easily get everywhere on foot as guests staying here will find themselves within short walking distance of the city’s best shopping areas, restaurants and bars as well as many of Dublin’s famous attractions. Please note that The Gate Hotel has a late bar that closes at 2.30 a.m. and therefore the rooms on the first floor are affected by noise.
