Pros: Bcn montjuic is a nice, simple no frills hotel. it's clean, the staff a friendly, rooms are nice and warm. having you're own kitchenette is a great money saving feature as i didn't have to eat out every time i was hungry. it's a ten minute walk walk from montjuic park and a 20 minute walk from the 1992 olympic stadium which feature fantastic views of barcelona city on one side and the harbour and mediterranean on the other.
more importantly though it's a short 5 minute walk (down the hill this time) from placa espanya which as a metro station on 2 lines and provides easy access to sagrada familia, parc guella (casa de gaudi is in this park) and les ramblas.
i would fully recommend this hotel, the staff also speak english well which makes things very easy too.

Cons: No door to close the shower, so it got cold inside. the desk employee was gone for 10 minutes when we needed to leave, so we were locked inside, worried we would miss our cab. she returned eventually.
