 "Good location"
Hotel is very good situated - it is close to all the attractions and to the city center. Hotel provides very good substantial breakfast. The service in the hotel is very good . However, the rooms of the hotel are very small with cheap and rather old furniture. The hotel provides good balance between price, location and services.

We found very nice to be in a room for 4 persons, so we could stay all together, the room was simple, but comfortable, clean and we appreciated breakfast very much, for its richness and variety. A good price-quality ratio

 "Pleasantly surprised"
Excellent location being less than 5 minute walk to the train station. Staff are incredibly helpful and the breakfast was excellent. For the price of this hotel you can't go wrong. Also the little sweets at reception were a nice touch haha.

 "Hotel Avenue"
I absolutely love this hotel. Great location - just minutes from all the important place for a solo traveller like me who is on a short stop in Amsterdam. I walked everywhere. shopping area, museums eating places for all budgets. Room was compact but then it was a single room.Warm and friendly reception. I arrived early and was given my room at 10.30am. Thank you. Great cooked breakfast by friendly staff.

 "new years break"
Location for this hotel was excellent. short walk from station and major attractions. Booked for 2 nights. Had to ask for toilet rolls and towels to be replenished. Breakfast was average could have been improved by offering a larger selection. Room was basic but comfortable. No coffee and tea making facilities which should be offered for value for money.

 "Avenue Hotel - single room (28 to 30 Nov 12)"
The hotel is just a walking distance from train station, eating places, attractions & souvenir shops and the area is safe for female solo traveller. Hotel provides sufficient info on tours and meeting point for tour are just nearby which made it so convenient for traveller. Free wifi in the room is excellent. I will definitely stay here again if i come to Amsterdam in future

The hotel is well-located but the service was not the appropriate one!! I want to mention that they advertise having free internet, though the connection was extremely low when I had a connection1!!!!

 "A poor beginning with a happy ending"
The hotel is in an area currently experiencing 24hour roadworks nearby ,and,has a noisy alleyway next to it..so,is experiencing problems out of their control.The reception staff both during the day and at night really make the hotel.Unfortunately,we experienced a serious odour from the bathroom /toilet that eventually led to us being moved at 2am in the morning to another room.The daystaff then moved us without being pushed to a better sized room in the hotel which for Amsterdam is I believe acceptable.The hotel closed our first room until they could get it sorted out.The hotel provides an acceptable breakfast that was generous by European standards.The reception staff were very good at recommending certain bus and train trips which by Amsterdam prices were good.

 "Avenue hotel"
We had a very pleasant time at this hotel . The breakfast was very good with fresch things to eat. For us it was very good with that central and calm situation. We walked everywhere when we visited different places and it was easy to find everything from the hotel. Also easy to find different restaurangs nearby. I should not hesitate to stay on this hotel again.

The hotel location is good, in the evening you will find pubs, food stores at the surroundings. Compared with the hotel at RLD, this is quieter and also more relaxing. Room is relatively small and if the drainage system can function faster that would be much better

rooms very small but location good.Staff were helpful.but a guest in another room constantly slammed his bedroom door till 3am we had to go to reception to complain, Needless to saywe got little sleep.

Pros: Second christmas spent at this hotel and it has been good value for money, good friendly staff and a very good breakfast....great place!!!
Cons: Thay could do with a better clean befor new guests arrive...under the beds were pitted and the bath was dirty also..but no major problems.
