Qbic Hotel WTC Amsterdam    

For a single night's stay its ok - assuming one has reason to be in this part of town (e next to the World Trade Centre). It lacks any real atmosphere however and the 'sparten' rooms are a little too empty

I stayed in Qbic hotel a week ago during my visit to Amsterdam. The hotel is very nice and quiet. The location is very good. Close to metro and train station. I would very recommend this place and definetely will stay there again. Agnes

It was very disappointing not to be able to have access to any windows in the room. Felt very clostrophobic! We spoke to one of the staff on the second day asking to change to a differant room but this was ignored unfortunately. Some of the staff were very nice though and helpful. We would of appreciated to know there was know daylight in the rooms in advance.

hotel is nice! the rooms are good, the bath room has no door though which is strange but qucik and easy i suppose! tram and buses right outside the door, about a 10 mins trip to red light.. i would stay here again!

I think the cleaniless in the corridors should be better and the breakfast could be better with more good seasonal fruit.

Overall we were pleased with the quirky hotel; the room was immaculate and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.The WTC was closed over the weekend so without travelling there was only the train station amenities open until about 10pm., having said that the Starbucks right next to the hotel was fab. but quite expensive. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and you had to pay 1.50 Euros for a small coffee from the machine in reception. We wished we'd taken a travel kettle as we spent a fortune on coffee throughout the tripPublic transport links were ideal as you're right next to the train/metro station and a tram /busstop directly infront of the hotel with trams arriving every 15mins to take you into central Amsterdam.We would stay there again :-).

We booked this hotel as it looked modern and something different and we were not disapointed with the novelty, the cubes of the bed and the bathroom were certainly different.I would like to mention that the rooms have NO windows and with the LED Lighting (our room was Red LEDs) , light levels were a bit low. Also the bathroom pod has no door and opens on to the room so make sure you are really good friends with your companion. 1 night for somewhere to crash is fine but we stayed for 2 nights and found it a bit claustrophobic. It's classified as a budget hotel but there are cheaper hotels with better facilities (Windows) . Location and access into central Amsterdam by Tram was excellent.

When we arrived to the hotel, the room was dirty, but at the moment the service gave us another clean. The rooms are big, nice and confortable. The bath has not any door so it´s so loudly.... But there is a near bath in each floor with dooor!!It´s very well comunicated by public transport, to the centre and to the airport, and there are restautants a cafes near it.It´s a very good hotel for enjoy amsterdam

Loved the room, very trendy and modern. Found the bed very comfy, although it could have done with an extra pillow (might be able on request). The rooms have no windows so make sure you set an alarm. Was slighty confussed by the self service check in and check out, but you can call the reception for help. The hotel is away from the centre of the city but only a 15 min metro ride away.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, I was recently backpacking through Europe and had to stay here. The staff is very understanding to your needs, my friend and I had very crazy request like printing our 7 page tickets and mailing our postcards. They not only offered but did it I have yet to recieve my postcards thought. The rooms are very clean and amazing with strobe lighting floors and ceiling almost makes you not want to sleep because of how beautiful the rooms are. All in all it was an amazing stay.

Good location and good price, the arty design thing taken a bit too far for me - like not having a door on the bathroom! OK if you are staying alone like I did but not so good if you want privacy while going to the toilet. Be warned ladies, no hairdryer in room, you need to pack one. Location next door to major train/tram station a major bonus though.

The best thing about Qbic is its location. Very good links into Amsterdam centre. The communication with the hotel was very good before our arrival. We were given good and clear directions on how to get to the hotel.We checked in without problems and although the member of staff was helpful, he was not that welcoming. It just felt efficient.Our room was adequate as we stayed only one night, but it was definitely on the small size. We didn't spend much time at all in the room and we were glad because it would have felt a bit claustrophobic. The concept is good, but there is a lack of attention to detail. I could see some bare cables on the ceiling above our bed and there was a square bit of wood also on the ceiling that looked a bit strange. Also, the tiny shelf in the bathroom was very dusty.The drain in the shower was blocked and water overflowed a little. I had to wait a while after my husband showered for the water to go down. I did mentioned it when we checked out and was given a discount voucher for our next visit, but I'm not sure we will be needing it.When we got back at night we wanted something from the vending machine, but were told that the change machine only takes 5 and 10 Euro notes. Tough luck as we only had 20's.Rooms are not well sound proofed and we were awaken by people talking and shutting doors. We also could have done with another set of pillows. The beds are comfortable and we slept well apart from been woken up early.Several people mentioned it already, but you have to be very comfortable with whomever you are sharing the room as there are no doors for the toilet. Not so much of a problem, but then you will need to have a good and quiet extractor fan in the room, right?To summarise, good location, efficient staff, but just adequate rooms. It is ok for a one-night stay, but wouldn't want to spend a week. Not sure we'd go back.

I looked for something close to WTZ - Amsterdam Zuid - and this hotel is just in the middle of it! I love the concept that brings nice room design with not ruining the budget. I have expected actuaöy room of a half size then I got. If there are even smaller capsule rooms witl half price for single travelers with just one bed as they are on some airports it would be unbeatable!

stay was good, lighting has two options (normal and coloured/themed).Carry your own hairdrier as the room will not have one..right next to Amsterdam Zuid station.no tea/coffe facilities in the room but has a 24hrs cafe inside the hotel.

Great location between aerport and city center (tram, metro and train just meters from the hotel). Bed extra large! really confortable! friendly staff and funny ambiance room.

Very friendly treat and good service, and personal very helpful. Rooms ok but too cold and airco too loud for sleeping. Shower difficult to regulate and bathroom too cold .

It's a good hotel, in front of a station of train, metro and a bus and tram stop. But the room is not like the photographs, it's very little and it haven't windows.

Pros: Unique to any other hotel stayed in previously, a refreshing change. despite the location, the transport links (train, tram, metro, bus)to both the airport and city centre are excellent. supermarket, restaurants and bars just minutes away on foot although they do close around 9pm. really friendly staff, very relaxed as all dutch people seem to be!
Cons: Bed wasn't as clean as we would have liked, stains on matress for example. minimal storage space i.e. cupboards and drawers. minor noise from nearby wtc loading area. no windows but we got over it!
