Cocoplum Beach Hotel San Andrés Island

Location - it's a pretty far from downtoen, but inside paradise. We stayed 6 nights in San Andres, 4 of them in downtown, and the last 2 ones in Cocoplum, which I do not regret. The beach is marvelous, you can go snorkelling just in front of it and see tons of sealife. But if you are used to Latin American politeness or lovely staff, tropical breakfast, forget i. Girls from the restaurant, specially the manager are VERY rude. Don't expect nothing but what they assume you've bought. There's no extra juice in the morning, no extra sauce during lunch, and food is little, though delicious. I would suggest Shrimps a la Bombay. It's very little food, and expensive, and you can't ask for extra rice ou fries.. they serve you just what it is. Me and my husband had to ask for three plates from the menu, because two of them are not enough. Don't expect more than one piece of bread during breakfast, nor cheese, nor egg, it's just one of each little thing, and if you ask for more, the manager will be very rude to you. The restaurant was the bad part of the hotel.. but the rest, it's just paradise!

Staff are nice , although owners not even salute theirs guest, dirty ,old,grimmy towels, bed sheets,awful, in ours slam there are better bathrooms than Cocoplum.avoid this place , also you have to take a taxi (us$ 8) each way for restaurants and commerce ,and tours since the hotel is far away .

Pros: Most staff were very polite and helpful. in good weather its a beatiful place.rooms were very spacious and pretty.
Cons: The buffet was not a buffet, we felt they were very stingy with the food questioning why we wanted more having payed for it already. the beach was dirty couldve been more tidy dispite the weather. it needs some sort of entertainment area a club would be nice in the premises since its far from the city.

Pros: Very nice staff and close to the best beach. good aircon and clean rooms. good restaurant with good breakfast.
Cons: Bad smell from the sewage in the rooms downstairs and in the corridors.

Pros: Excelente playa- buena atencion del personal- buena comida del restaurante- la suite superior es muy comoda- lugar tranquilo!!
Cons: Falta de pintura en las areas comunes y muy pobre el agua de la ducha !!, precios altos en el restaurante.

Pros: Nice beach front location.
Cons: Facilities were very poor - nothing worked; the toilet, the phone, the air conditioner, the safe . . . unbelievable!
