"Good location, no sleep."

We booked this hotel due it's location and the fact it was a 4 star. Whilst the location was good this hotel is far from a 4 star experience. We have stayed in many 4 star hotels around the world and this is by far the worst. I would say it is more equivalent to a 2 star. or even glorified bed & breakfast.Whilst we cannot criticise nor compliment the service as we did not use anything, what stands out most for us is the noise both inside and outside the hotel. You can clearly hear people and traffic outside and inside the hotel you can hear people in the adjoining rooms clearly in their bathrooms. The rooms themselves can only be best described as basic but generally clean.It was very disappointing, as Barcelona is a beautiful city and we had just gotten married and were treating ourselves to a nice little break.We would not recommend anyone stay at this hotel if you are expecting a 4 star experience.

"our restroom smelled bad"

The location of this hotel is great . It's pretty close to the center, but the room smelled bad. The rooms are pretty small in size, but I guess that goes for most hotels in Europe

"Location !"

Nice location, near metro and stop of Aerobus from airport. Hotel and breakfast o.k., beds very firm as often in Spain . Small room (backside of hotel because of street noise) maybe front rooms are bigger ? No client computer, nor free or paid !!!. No way 4*. Compare this to NH, Courtyard by Marriott etc. etc. and you will note a substantial difference. I would say an average 2/3* hotel. Small swimming pool very welcome as it was very hot.

Cons: We chose the hotel because it had it´s own car park however the access was narrow and difficult and one of the cars was badly scraped driving out.

Pros: Location is very good, easy to access to ramblas and universitate, transport is good as well, reception can speak english and helpful to give directions
Cons: Well, almost no, except first day when i arrived, they gave me a double room rather twin room ,though i put request when i booked it, also, the double room only have one set of bath towels while it is prepared for two persons, but they gave anothe set when i asked the reception.

Pros: Fantastic location, easy walking distance to the ramblas, tour bus stops and the port. roof top pool and hot tub provided a lovely relaxing end to a busy day of sightseeing. staff friendly, welcoming and helpful providing information on the best places to eat etc.. i only hope the hotel continues to remain good value for money and doesn't increase it's prices putting this little barcelona gem out of the price range of the average sightseer on a budget!
Cons: This was a great hotel for the price paid.

Cons: Room was a little on the small side and room 613 faced onto what seemed to be a conservatory (hence being very warm)air condition unit wasn't the best even when set on the coolest setting.

Cons: - reconstruction on the road / noise.
- ventillator in bathroom not operational.
- berakfast slightly expensive
- no bar at the roof pool
- (!) pool is open only from 10am till 8pm. suggest 8am to 10pm. (and add bar)

Sunotel Central Barcelona is a new hotel perfectly located in city the centre of Barcelona. Just a few steps from 'Plaza Universidad' and very close to 'Paseo de Gracia' and 'Plaza Cataluña'.

All the 81 guest rooms at the Sunotel Central Barcelona are fully equipped with modern room facilities, such as air-conditioning, satellite TV, mini-bar, safe Box and Wi-Fi Internet connection and a bathroom with hair-dryer. Furthermore, an outdoor swimming pool (seasonal), jacuzzi, terrace solarium, Aquarella Music-Restaurant, and a parking are also available for the guests.
