Hotel Belvedere Ostia Roma  

Pro: We have every year in the hotel belvedere in ostia very nice holidays. we will come back there every year.

The hotel is on the main drag at the pier in Ostia.Romans go there to party on the weekend. It was exhausting. It was loud. It was pretty awful.The rooms were tiny and not that great.The staff was friendly and awesome.

It is a good three star hotel with a great view. Our room was a little small. Our balcony was great as was our host, Davide. We were there in a cold snap and the roon was little cool. We love Ostia Lido, since it has the sea and one euro access to Roma by metro.

Pros: Nice location, good to be outside of the city as it was 30 degrees and nice to be by the beach as the city was extremely busy when we visited late sept/early oct
Cons: Maybe outside to the right was a cafe and could be noisy at times

Pros: The hotel is located at a beach. go out for a stroll or hit the beach for a swim. coudln´t believe we were able to reach it from rome within 40 min by train!

Pros: The hotel room was very clean and it provided a good base for our holiday. it is centrally located in ostia and is only a 10 minute walk to the train station for travel to rome/ostia antica. there are several bars, restaurants around the hotel which is positioned next to the beach. the hotel breakfast was good. there was always hot water in the room for showering. the hotel provide airport transfers for 6euros per person (if pre-arranged with the hotel) and the driver met us at the airport on arrival on time and with a clear sign (transfers are c.25euros with taxi). the hotel staff were vey helpful and spoke good english.
Cons: The hotel room was fairly basic with no 'extras' such as tea/coffee making facilities. more information within the rooms would be beneficial. the first night of our stay was very cold as we were not aware that there was any heating in the room. we realised on the next day that there was an a/c unit with a heat control but this needed to be switched on at the electricity box (behind the door). we arranged our return transfer to the airport through the hotel and unfortunately the driver did not turn up and so we had to get a taxi which was 25euros (it should be noted that this may of course have been an one-off). although the hotel reimbursed our 12euros for the hotel transfer they did not offer to pay the remainder of the taxi fare which i presumed that would have since we were incovenienced by extra cost and a delay.

Pros: Staff was very helpful and accommodating; arranging taxis and access to internet.
Cons: The room was noisy at night making it difficult to sleep. shower was very small and didn't drain properly.

Pros: Close to the ocean, generally clean and only 40 min from the city centre via train.
Cons: Not convenient for someone interested in nightlife, as public transport closes after 11:30 and the taxi back costs a fortune...

Cons: Did not provide directions to the hotel from airport, only from central rome.

Pros: Airport transport was arranged for a late night arrival. check in was quick and painless. the breakfast was included and was typical european breakfast. free wifi in the lobby.
Cons: The hotel is marketed at resort area, and it isn't. there is no access to the ocean from anywhere within a half mile of the hotel. very simple rooms, not even carpeted, no extra pillows in the rooms.

Pros: Close to the airport
Cons: The shower was dirty, shower curtains were broken. the room looked like it needed to be updated.

Pros: The hotel had an excellent location. it was on the beach front, had numerous adjacent restaurants and a square with boutiques. we had an ocean view from our room that added a nice dimension to our experience.
Cons: We found one of the desk clerks to me somewhat rude.

Pros: The majority of the reception staff were very helpful
Cons: The breakfast was adequate but the staff were little surly. maybe mornings are not their best time !!

Pros: Hotel staff was a 'good' due to the front desk staff. ...helpfull.
Cons: Breakfast staff brought the service & facilities down to a 'fair'. ...attitudes were not very helpful nor conducive for the position.

Pros: Very helpful staff in organising transfers to/from airport

Pros: Wonderful, helpful staff. delicious breakfast. fun location.

Pros: The sheets and towels were clean and fresh
Cons: Room itself was not that clean, building was old but never repaired (unless the necessities), breakfast was everyday-the-same!
