room was very small and compact and at night is was very noisey the toilet in the room was very small aswell on the plus side the hotel staff very freindly and helpful

In all apscts a very fine hotel with super duper staff service. Not very much to improve here! One thing to improve though would be to diminish or reduce the noise from the staircase, like the sound of slamming doors etc.

Perfect location on a small street next to la Rambla. Nice and clean room, comfortable beds, friendly and very helpful staff in the reception... We were very happy with our stay here.

Very good value and a splendid location. I loved having a balcony and watching the street life. The only drawback was a weak wi-fi signal.

The location of the hotel was fantastic. very central and easy to find on the main Las Ramblas thoroughfare. The little side street where the hotel is, is lovely and quiet with really nice shops etc... and only a few minutes from all the main shops/restaurants. The one thing i have to say is that the breakfast option is very very limited and for people with dietary requirements it is terrible. you are seated at a table and a plate of pastries are put in front of you. there are yoghurts and an apple available if you like but that is it, no cereals or hot options, not even toast. I cannot eat pastries so therefore I was unable to have a breakfast. If breakfast is included in the hotel price then variety should definitely be considered. I feel that tea/coffee facilities would be an added advantage in hotel rooms. Otherwise the room and bathroom was clean and the staff willing to help with any quieris. We had to wait all day before returning to the airport and the staff very kindly locked our luggage in their office until it was time to leave. We appreciated this for security and practical reasons. if you are on a budget then this is ideal, it is central and convenient. if you are looking for comfort or luxury i would not recommend it. overall we were there for two days and found it suitable for our purpose.

Hotel Cataluna is a nice and simple hotel located perfectly in a side street to fantastic “La Rambla”, close to Plaça Catalunya (Metro, Airport Aerobus etc.) Even if it’s close to La Rambla, there is no noise from the street at night.The rooms are small but very comfortable and nicely cleaned every day with fresh towels. The rooms are furthermore also equipped with a small fridge, Air Condition and good Wi-Fi.Breakfast is served “across the street”, ten footsteps away, in another hotel, where a simple breakfast is available.I will definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for a good nice clean place to stay/sleep when you are visiting the amazing city of Barcelona.I will for sure choose this hotel again next time I am going to Barcelona (which will be very soon again). :-)Claus, Denmark.

Great location - beds not ver comfy though. Very clear and friendly. Just a better bed would have made our stay much better.

Ideal location for a short break - right in the centre, but always felt very safe (there's lots of highly visible police around all Barca tourist attractions these days). Expensive (as all Barca hotels are). Rooms are good (I would say they are a 3-star standard, but you have breakfast in the hotel opposite which I guess is why its only 2-star)

It is easy to find, to make a business travel connection between two flights.Very clean, good deal too!

everything was good and nice. good service, very polite employees, the location was good. the rooms were good, and fresh. they cleaned the rooms very good.

If you look for a hotel exactly in the center of barcelona without luxuries its the best play to stay. Very good transportation means nearby and the reception was quite helpfull. The only disadvantage was the very poor breakfast.

Excellent location right at the city centre, very close to Pl. Catalunya and La Rambla. Clean rooms and friendly hotel personnel. Breakfast is poor, but it doesn't matter a lot if you're on a 3-4 days leisure trip. Single beds in a double room is not quite convenient for a married couple... Considering all factors, the hotel is a good "value for money" option and I'd recommend if you are looking for a clean, convenient and affordable place to sleep in.

Pros: Very comfortable room, very convenient location, staff were very friendly and helpful. and free internet!
Cons: The only bad thing, was that i was only there for a night!

Pros: Hotel staff are very helpful, offered us information about the tours available. when we came back to collect our luggage which we left at the reception when we checked out, they invited us to freshen up at the toilets upstairs before continuing with our journey.

although the vending machine in the lounge had prices indicated, it dispensed the drinks without requiring any money - meaning unlimited free drinks.
Cons: The floor was not carpeted, so it was a bit cold to walk around the room barefooted during winter.

Pros: At first i was a little dissapointed of the size of the room. but, a good and helpful staff, general cleanliness and great location made it all up. good value for ones money.

Pros: The staff were very welcoming and helpful. excellent location on quiet street. clean spacious room, lovely big bathroom. overall excellent.

Pros: Excellent location on a side street with easy access to everything. clean utilitarian furnishings.
Cons: Rooms are tiny - but that is relatively speaking since i am from the u.s. where rooms are comparatively huge. can get noisy at friday and saturday nights.

Cons: Hotel room very small poor facilites not able to use bath as they said it bhad overflowed once into the room below found bathroom very poor no were comfortable to sit in the evenings and relax would not stay hear again 420 euros for three nights

Pros: Helpful, friendly staff. hotel well situated for tourists who wanted to see as much of barcelona as possible in a relatively short time.
