 "Perfect."
breakfast was served in the room and tasty, the staff were very friendly and helpful...very steep stairs but all in all I really enjoyed. The position si very central and well served by public transportAdvised!

 "Nice Springbreak in Amsterdam"
Stayed in Hotel Bema with my two friends for five days. Was nice stay, breakfast will be delivered to your room at 8.30 AM, was cute. Only negativity was that windows weren't soundproof, so sometimes it felt like we were living on street, but that wasn't so bad for us, because we were there to also enjoy city's famous nightlife and no one complained, when we came to hotel about 2-3AM and listened to little music in our room.If again in Amsterdam, then Bema would be the choice. Also tram's to city central leave only 50 meters from hotel front door and bus to airport stops literally in front on the hotel.

 "nice clean hotel"
it was very good for a low budget hotel.clean and quiet.full breakfast in room every morning!hot water all day long.quiet area but very close to center.friendly staff and very helpful with everything.

 "Unexpectedly Good!"
I've been to Amsterdam a few times and stayed at various places, Bema was probably one of the best, I went with friends who stayed at the hotel while we stayed at the apartment just down the street. It was in the museum area of town which is slightly out of the city but had great tram links to the City and Bus links to the Airport.When we arrived staff were very efficient albeit it slightly less personable than i was used to, however i think the fact there were several of us arriving at the same time that poured a bit of stress on to them, they allowed us to keep our bags in a secure location until we checked in as we had arrived very early in the day.When it came to checking in one of their staff took us to our apartment via car, even though it was a 7-10 min walk and showed us round, he was very nice! The apartment was basic but clean and a lot bigger than I was expecting.I would stay here again, in fact I will stay here again! Thanks for a Great Stay Bema.

 "Perfect place to stay after a concert at Concertgebouw"
Just behind the Concertgebouw Theatre, a small and nice hotel. We stayed only one night after a concert and was everything really easy. We were surprised when they told that they would bring the breakfast to our room, it was probably because there isn't living room, but was our first time!! :) Although it's in Amsterdam, it's quite comfortable and cheap!

 "Different, but met all my needs"
The hotel had rooms with shared baths (where the front desk was) but also offered apartments in the surrounding area - which is what I got. Clean, simple, with high speed WiFi which was perfect for what i needed. It had a little kitchen, full bath, table, chairs, bed - everything this solor business traveler needed to both rest and get lots of work done.

 "Very nice Appartment"
We stayed 2 nights in one of Bema's appartment.Very well located, near many trams to reach rapidly city center. You can find shops for food just 5mn walk.The appartment is well furnished, you have exactly what you need in the modern kitchen, towels are provided in the bathroom.The bed is really big and comfortable.The appartment is enough big for 3 people.Everything is very clean and the place is quiet.One thing is a little bit difficult: the stairs are a little bit hard for some people (for example youg children or old people).But definitely it's a nice place, we recommaed it.

 "Excellent place"
We have stayed in this charming and cosy Amsterdam hotel for 3 nights. The beds were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Location out of the busy city centre but close enough, 15 min tram ride. Lovely stay, highly recommended

Nice place, well located, with a delicious meal included. The con is that the room was very small -the bed fitted roughly from side to side-, but fair enough for the money we paid in a city as Amsterdam.

 "hotel bema"
Me and my friend stayed in one of Bema's apartments in the city. It was a really lovely apartment that included a bed, a loung area with a sofa and table and a kitchen area with everything we needed for cooking. The apartment also had a lovely balony which was nice. These rooms were clean and tidy upon arrival. Although in a nice location, it was a bit of a walk from the city centre but manageable. I would stay at this hotel again and reccommend it to others.

If you are not looking for standard comfort and prefer an excellent location with friendly service and character, go for this hotel. Only the staircase can be an obstacle, but then a friendly home is welcoming you.

 "Absolutely Awful Hotel to Stay in Amsterdam"
Hotel Bema is absolutely worst place to stay in Amsterdam. Hotels’ pictures on the website are not reflecting the actual hotel. Actual hotel is so awful (I don’t have words to describe it). I travel a lot and stay in hotels very often, it was the worst experience I ever had. The room I have stayed in was absolutely filthy. When I entered in the hotel after climb up the almost 70 stairs (in app 90 degree angle), I suspected that the hotel is not good. I have told to the receptionist that I would like to see the room first, however receptionist had told me that I have to make the payment first and If in case I don’t like the room, I will get my money refunded straightaway. I did trust the receptionist and paid 70 Euro for one night and after looking at the room, I asked him to refund me the money as I cannot stay in this hotel. That guy was completely changed and told me that the money in non refundable and I have been left with no choice other than staying in a place which was worst than hell.Toilet/Shower was extremely dirty too, nothing was ok in that hotel at all. I am wondering how come people gave good reviews to this hotel and probably that is why, by mistake I have booked this hotel. I can assure you that the any hostel in Amsterdam is much better than Hotel Bema. Please take my words and DO NOT STAY in this hotel at all. Please see attached pictures which reflect what I have mentioned above.Thanks Vikas

 "Great location in Old South"
Best thing about this hotel was the location - if you're interested in visiting the Vin Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum or, as we did, taking in a concert at the Concertgebouw across the road. We were given a quiet room at the back of the hotel - couldn't hear the traffic, to my surprise, however we were adjacent to the reception area so it was quite noisy from that point of view. Breakfast was plentiful and there were no problems with giving us extra butter and replacing an unclean teacup, promptly. For a spacious family room we paid an average 90 Euros a night (at Easter), a little high but not too bad - be aware though that you may have to share a loo with other guests on your floor.

 "Good Location"
This Hotel is a cheap and good located. In some sites said they have car parking near for 6 € but the reality is a car parking for 8 € at 2 km in the olimpic Stadium.The acesse to the reception desk anda the rooms is made by a climbing 60 stairs, withou elevator. it´s not easy to do with many lugage.

Thank you for the nice Time in Amsterdam!The location of the Bema Hotel is great! Livin on the backside of the hotel gives you a nice quiet place and on the frontside you are perfectly central and live close to the museums!

 "A good hotel"
The stairs at the entrance are surprisingly small and steep (if this is your first stay in Amsterdam) but not at all a problem, even with luggages.The bedroom we had was spacious and quiet, which is a rare treat in Amsterdam! All the furniture was nice, big and old, as in a granny's house. The walls could do with being repainted (and the carpet certainly changed!). It was clean even if a bit dusty. The ensuite shower was good and clean and we were given fresh towels every day (which is surprising).The toilets were outside the bedroom; they are clean but very small.It had a nice informal feeling overall, a bit like being back in time.The staff was really nice and helpful; breakfast is delivered to your room every morning at 8.30.The location is great; just in front of the Concertgebouw and the tram. I would say it is a great place to stay for a few days if you are not too fussy about decoration and comfort.
