 "Decent Accommodation for the price in a well-placed location"
I stayed at this hotel with my partner for a weekend getaway in London. The location of the hotel is ideal, it is a 2 minute walk from Earls Court tube station which meant we could easily get around London during the day. There are local shops and restaurants nearby which are perfect if you want to grab something to eat quickly or have a meal out. The area is not too busy, the only downside is that you can hear the train line from the rooms; however, neither myself nor my partner had disturbed sleep as a result. The room we had was slightly small and compact and the TV didn't have great picture quality but as we used the hotel as a base and were out most of the day, this wasn't much of a hindrance. The rooms were cleaned every day and fresh towels/coffee etc supplied. The staff responded quickly to any queries we had and the check-in/check-out was fine. The biggest problem with the hotel is that we had an odd smell in our bathroom coming from the sink drain. Although no too potent, this reduced the quality of the room the most. IN terms of location, I cannot fault this hotel.

 "Disappointing"
When we can to chech-in at the hotel at 11:30 PM because of a late flight. We got told there had been a mix up and we would get a room in an other hotel. We were not happy about this at all, after a long journey we were expecting to get some sleep, but instead we had to go in a cab for 15 minutes to the Best Western Plus park grand hotel. Here we had to explain what had happend again. There seemed to be no communication between the hotels what so ever. The service was quite bad. Both in the Kensington and the Park Grand. There was no understanding or customer service. I will not stay in any of those hotels a second time!

 "Par for the price"
Friendly, helpful staff and excellent location close to Picadilly line with good local services. My only problem is that, as in most conversions in this price range of London hotels, too many rooms have been squeezed out of too little space, making the hotel feel very clostrophobic. The room had everything, and having everything meant that there was no room for the guest! Absolutely fine for an overnight stay.

Cons: I was disappointed upon my arrival to find out that the price of the hotel for that particular night was cheaper that what i paid for it when i prebooked it. when i spoke to the front desk staff, they were unable to accomodate me. i would not stay here again, nor would i recommend it. i have stayed at much nicer hotels in london for the same price or cheaper.

 "Staff very discreet, professional & obliging"
Pros: Staff very discreet, professional & obliging. no questions asked - great for those working in the area.
Cons: When i requested extra towels were brought bath mats; when i requested short glasses was brought shot glasses but really that is as bad as it gets!

Pros: Near to underground station. cheap and clean.
Cons: Day time pass the underground and all the hotel is shaking, a lot of noise between the rooms.

Pros: Very clean and well presented room.
good courteous staff.
Cons: Pipe work between rooms is noisy. this can make sleeping a little uncomfortable if your neighbour is having a shower.

Cons: Having a tube train run past my window till late at night and from four in the morning. the fact that i found the reception staff very rude and unhelpful even when they had made a mistake with my booking.
