 "Will work for large family"
The room was larger than I anticipated, which was good. It is very old, but they were fixing it up. The bathrooms were disgusting, no door handle, mold, toilet did not flush. Front desk extremely nice and helpful. Walking distance to the tube. I believe when they finish fixing it, it will be a nice family hotel.

 "Is Somerset Hotel- a Hotel or B&B????"
We do not consider it is a hotel, not even a B&B more like a Hostel. there is no table and armchairs In the room, we have to lay on the bed, so noisy when other people entering their room on our floor, no lift, my husband is 63 years old and had triple heart bypass have to walk up 3 flies of stairs; tea and coffee facilities in the restaurant area only not in the room, when we decide to have a cuppa, asked for milk but the 2 nearly full 2 litre bottles have gone off.

 "Family vacation in London"
Very simple hotel, clean but very few facilities. Breakfast very simple, would have liked some cheese, ham and vegetables. The beds were not comfortable, there were no where to put your towel in the bathroom. But the location was very good, close to Madame Tussauds and busses/underground/restaurants. The personal working at the hotel were very helpful and you could always get hold of someone to help you.

Pros: Great location for marleybone station
Cons: The hotel was obviously going through major renovations, paint pots and tools lying about the breakfast area. very cheap products available for breakfast value bread etc not impressive. we also had to clear away our own tables. it felt more like a hostel than a hotel not even a b&b. noisy room, thin walls, tiny towels only a bar of soap in bathroom. huge gap between floor and door. would not stay there again!!!

 "Its only 2 min away from baker street station and a 5 min walk to madam..."
Pros: Its only 2 min away from baker street station and a 5 min walk to madam tussauds. the rooms was ok in size but the bathroom was smal.
Cons: My rommie complaind about nois at night, but i slept like a baby and did t notise anything.

 "The location of the hotel couldn't have been better for us - right near..."
Pros: The location of the hotel couldn't have been better for us - right near madame tussauds - the main attraction for our trip this time - bus stop for bus to stansted and and short walking distance from the tube and oxford street. this in itself was enough to override any other niggles.
Cons: The hotel seemed really run down in parts. there was, for example, no door handle on bathroom door and broken lock. the bathroom was really not nice - old, limescale and traces of mould on tiles, rusty bathroom cabinet. to be fair, it was clean on surface - just signs of age. i realise that it is at the cheaper end of the hotel spectrum (for central london), but i do expect a door handle on loo as a minimum! :-)

Pros: Comfortable beds in room 207, but after complanining 3rd time to hotel manager about the not working tv and the loss of a wardrobe hegave us rom 315 where the beds were terrible, therefore i refuse to take that room.
Cons: No funktion tv, no wardrobe, no chairs, no schampoo, but the worst was the hotel manager he gave me a very very little compensation of 20£!!! for the loss of tv and wardrobe for 4 nights stay.

Cons: Couldnt accept card payments. is a bit messy as being re-decorated. the quality of new paintwork is poor. stepladder to open loft hatchway left in corridor

Pros: The staff manning the reception desk were very helpful and polite at all times. the room was extremely clean and comfortable even for our family of 2 adults and 2 teenaged children. the location was fantastic..within waliking distance of madam tussard's museum, the sherlock holmes museum and even the big bus tour bus stop.

Cons: The 3 rooms booked were not all located together and the receptionist tried to tell me i made 2 separate bookings that was why 2 rooms were together and the 3rd was on the ground floor, which was not the case at all.
