Good hotel in central position near the vatican . only critiscism is that there was no tea making facilities within the room. a phone would have been nice also. could maybe invest in a machine to weigh your luggage. all in all nice hotel which has been used by various family and friends.

Service at the hotel was friendly and efficient, the hotel is spread over two floors, with the reception on the first floor, but there was no indication of this when we arrived we took the lift to the 2nd which had a sign for the Florida, so when we got there we hung around waiting for someone to come to that reception. Eventually someone saw us and came and let us in to our room and said we could sign in later.We loved the room, it was extremley quiet, well furnished, the bed was very comfortable, the building is old with character but the room and fittings are modern and cool our window looked into a courtyard.Excellent location near Vatican, shopping, lots of bus connections and Metro.We found this a relaxed, and friendly place to stay.

Pros: The staff is very friendly, the location is ideal, the neighborhood is safe, the room was very clean and the prices were great.

Cons: The elevator need a better one ..i mean a more conventional type..and i think you need to have a water heater or similar one to boil water..

Pros: Fantastic english speaking staff, friendly, welcoming and helpful. a delight to stay here, and will definitely be coming back. the room was fantastically furnished, very modern.

Pros: The staff is great! very helpful and would even go out of their way to help. for those on a budget, this is a great place to stay.

Pros: The room was amazing! the superior double room was the perfect size, clean, newly furbished, hot water, nice warm room in the morning. the hotel was also 5 or so minutes walk to the vatican, basically walking distance to everything. so central. couldn't have asked for anything more!!

Pros: The location is close to a lot of tourist attractions and is peaceful and quiet in the evenings. lots of gorgeous cafes and market shopping and also close to st peters square where you can catch all tourist buses and get all the information you need.
Cons: On arrival the reception staff was more then halpful and we booked into our room on the lower level to reception. you cannot get broadband connection from this floor, they says its available but the receptioin to my laptop was crap and kept cutting out. we were really exhausted from flying for 3 days from australia and stopping over in london and really needed some sleep and rest. the rooms next to us had problems with its bathroom and had workmen using jackhammers and machinery and sledge hammering the wall plus talking to each other over the top of it all. its was unbearable. the main wall of our room was the one getting worked on it caused me a thumping headache. i went upstairs where i was told by the hotel owner herself to deal with it, the bathroom needs repairing. this upset me as we had booked and paid months in advance and found this unfair that we werent even advised of this work taking place when we checked in. i stated this to her where she pretty much dismissed even as i was on the brink of tears, i was so exhausted. she left me there and made her poor receptionist come out an tell me that i had to pay for a room upgrade. i was beside myself. i refused to do so as i was not my fault that her bathroom needed repairs and she then said i can have a room upgrade for one night only. i refused again to lug my luggage up and down floors after one night and was in tears by this stage from getting treated so poorly. what a welcome to rome!! her receptionist then followed me to the lower level stating that we can have a room upgrade for the stay (2 nights) that we were there. what a drama. i dont recommend anyone to stay at this hotel, besides the lovely accommodating reception staff, there was nothing pleasant about our stay after this incident.

Pros: Staff was very pleasant; room was sized larger than expected and the amenities were fine.

Pros: Hotel florida is just in the heart of rome and just 10 minutes leisure walk to the vatican. rooms were up to date although a little bit tight. mechanical lift was an interesting surprise.
Cons: Had difficulty locating the hotel since it is part of a larger apartment building.

Pros: Quiet and comfortable room, looked liked the photo, decent location.

Pros: Location was great, and the upside of staying during off peak season was they upgraded us to a superior twin room free of charge, yaay! room was as it looked on the photo's and everything was really clean and the staff were very friendly. would stay here again and for the price we paid we couldn't have gotten a nicer place.
Cons: The water in the showers could have been hotter (though it was never cold) and it was a bit noisy early in the mornings (children shouting in the corridors).

Pros: Clean room, good situation next to vatican, metro near by, quiet, safe, fair price
Cons: Small bathroom, reception 2sd floor bedroom 1st floor and can't take key with you, small sign outside florida pension
