We really enjoyed our stay at the Senator Gran Via. The room was a nice size and also had a large bathroom. The location was perfect. We could walk to everything because we were on a walking street halfway between the Prado museum area and the Palace. Also the Gran Via subway was right outside the door. The hotel room was amazingly quiet even though we were right on the Gran Via. We enjoyed our tiny balcony with a beautiful view of the rooftop architecture of the area. We had 2 chairs in the room which was nice and the refrigerator had 2 complementary cokes and waters. That left it open for us to buy wine or beer and use the refrigerator. The only small complaint would be that the beds were quite hard but we found that to be the case throughout Spain. We would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel, excellent location, great value. The hotel is located in the main center of Madrid. The minibar is free with pepsi and water. Rooms were very nice and comfortable.

Great Hotel and Great location for sightseeing in Madrid which made for an enjoyable break. The metro was outside the hotel so was very convenient for getting to and from the airport and also to get around the city centre.The service we received was excellent and first class. We did not eat at the restarant so I can't comment on the service in the restaurant.The room was a little on the small side however was very clean and it did not hamper our stay! We had a balcony which overlooked the Gran via - seeing though we was so close to gran via the noise was minimal.All in all a very good hotel

Pros: Absolutely perfect location. you can walk to everything in central madrid.
Cons: It's not exactly a four-star hotel in terms of amenities. no business centre (just a one-euro-per 10 minutes computer). slow as molasses wi-fi. no real restaurant in the hotel.

Cons: 1.in "special enquiry" section we asked "the room with view", but the hotel's staff has ignored it.
